850 Pilgrims Depart for Kashi–Ayodhya Dham from Ambikapur Railway Station on the Bharat Gaurav Train; Special Facilities Provided to Devotees
Raipur, December 2025 : A total of 850 pilgrims from the Surguja division departed for Kashi and Ayodhya Dham from Ambikapur Railway Station aboard the Bharat Gaurav Special Train. The sacred journey was flagged off by Mayor Smt. Manjusha Bhagat, Shri Bharat Singh Sisodia, and other prominent public representatives. The station premises were filled with a devotional atmosphere, where the passengers received a warm and respectful welcome.
The district administration and IRCTC ensured proper arrangements for transportation, cleanliness, safety, and food for the pilgrims. Employees of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board provided assistance throughout the journey. A dedicated staff actively supported the pilgrims, promptly addressing any issues and ensuring a comfortable and convenient travel experience.
Pratibha Mishra expressed her appreciation, saying that the Sai government’s initiative to organize pilgrimage facilities for the general public is highly commendable. She added that she firmly believes this journey will deepen their spiritual faith.
Durga Prasad Yadav also shared his happiness, stating that the well-organized system and respectful services will remain a memorable experience for all pilgrims. He extended special thanks to the Chief Minister Shri Sai and Tourism Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal for successfully implementing this public-friendly initiative.
Tourism Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal conveyed his best wishes to all the pilgrims for their visit to Ram Lalla, stating that the government aims to ensure comfortable and dignified services for every citizen according to their faith. He added that journeys like these are being promoted through the Bharat Gaurav Train to preserve and celebrate the state’s cultural and religious heritage.
This pilgrimage will not only strengthen the pilgrims’ faith but also contribute to the promotion of tourism and cultural development in Chhattisgarh. Under this scheme, pilgrims are provided with multiple facilities including meals, medical support, alternative accommodation, and security during the journey.
The Bharat Gaurav Train’s departure from Ambikapur began smoothly amidst a devotional environment and proactive administrative support, boosting the morale and faith of the devotees from the Surguja division. Present on the occasion were former Chairman Shri Lalan Singh, district administration officials, IRCTC’s Deputy General Manager, and officials and staff of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board.
