“Transformed Mizoram Vision 2047 Roadmap Workshop” Conducted in Aizawl

Aizawl, December 2025: The State Institute for Transformation (SIT), Mizoram, under the Planning & Programme Implementation Department and in collaboration with NITI Aayog’s State Support Mission, organized the “Transformed Mizoram Vision 2047 Roadmap Workshop” at the Mizoram Assembly House Conference Hall. The workshop was attended by Chief Minister Lalduhoma, DP&AR Minister K. Sapdanga, other ministers, Chief Secretary, heads of departments, senior officers, district officials, and community representatives. The workshop, held from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, focused on preparing Mizoram for long-term development aligned with India’s Vision of becoming a developed nation by 2027 and “Viksit Bharat @2047.” This high-level exercise aimed to develop a comprehensive roadmap for the state’s future.

In his address, Chief Minister Lalduhoma emphasized the importance of envisioning the state’s future and aligning resources and actions accordingly. He highlighted that while many countries globally have achieved developed status, sustained development requires clear vision and planning. For Mizoram, leveraging its human capital, educated youth, natural resources, and talent is critical to realizing this vision.

The workshop discussed the challenges and opportunities for Mizoram’s socio-economic transformation, including rural development, recovery from COVID-19, infrastructure, and other key sectors. The exercise stressed good governance, service delivery, and growth in productive sectors like agriculture, allied activities, industries, tourism, and the digital economy to generate employment and sustainable development. The importance of quality education, skill development, innovation, and technology adoption was also underscored.

The workshop reinforced the need for coordinated efforts among state, district, and local bodies, emphasizing planning, prioritization, and effective execution of development initiatives. Officials discussed how actions, habits, and citizen engagement play a crucial role in sustaining transformation.

The “Transformed Mizoram Vision 2047 Roadmap Workshop” included inaugural and technical sessions. The inaugural session featured a welcome speech by Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena, a presentation on Mizoram Vision 2047 by Commissioner P&PID Vanlaldina Fanai, and a screening of the Vision 2047 video. Technical sessions involved departments presenting their vision, sharing best practices, and inter-departmental discussions to identify priority reforms and flagship initiatives for 2047.

In the concluding remarks, the Chief Minister highlighted the workshop’s success in creating a shared understanding of Mizoram’s long-term vision, laying the foundation for actionable roadmaps, priorities, and timelines to achieve sustainable growth and transformation by 2047.
