CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurates the ‘Bharatkool Chapter-2’ program organized by Gujarat Media Club in Ahmedabad

‘Emotion, Melody and Rhythm’ Key to Gujarat’s Development: Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, while inaugurating ‘Bharatkul Chapter–2’ at Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, praised the role of the media and said that the media acts as a constructive partner in the state’s development. He stated that while the government is constantly working for the welfare of citizens, constructive criticism aimed at policy improvement and public good is necessary—but the intent behind such criticism must always be positive.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the year 2025 has become a year that highlights India’s pride. He noted that this year marks the 150th birth anniversaries of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, as well as 150 years of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’.

Referring to events such as ‘Rashtriya Janjati Gaurav Diwas’ and the grand ‘Bharat Parv’ held last month at Ekta Nagar, he said these programmes showcased India’s cultural diversity united by a spirit of oneness and helped revive Indian traditions.

Highlighting the importance of Indian culture, the Chief Minister said that India’s global identity stems from its ancient civilisation that guides humanity toward ultimate truth. Citing Swami Vivekananda, he said that even a small glimpse of Indian culture left the Western world deeply impressed, and those who delved deeper devoted their lives to it. He stressed the need to introduce the younger generation to the core values of India’s eternal civilisation.

Congratulating the Gujarat Media Club and Gujarat University for organising the second chapter of Bharatkul, the Chief Minister described the platform as a meaningful initiative that connects youth with their cultural roots.

He emphasised that collective effort is essential to take the nation forward and realise the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’. With shared commitment, he said, the dream of Viksit Bharat @2047 will surely be realised, with Gujarat playing a leading role. He urged the youth to move ahead with time while embracing swadeshi values, preserving cultural heritage, and freeing themselves from a colonial mindset.

Deputy Chief Minister’s Address

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi highlighted the importance of ‘emotion, melody and rhythm’ in Gujarat’s development and congratulated the organisers for selecting such an inspiring theme for the Bharatkul programme.

He said that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated Gujarat’s rapid development, the driving force behind it was a deep emotional commitment to the state. Feeling joy at progress and concern at setbacks, he said, is essential for development. He appreciated efforts to engage youth more deeply with these themes.

Sanghavi noted the remarkable work being done in the fields of culture, heritage, music and rhythm under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. He informed that India’s largest music studio is being developed in Vadnagar, with similar facilities coming up in Vadodara.

He said that the work done over the past 30 years in cultural preservation and related fields has continued consistently since Narendra Modi’s tenure. He requested that insights emerging from research documents and discussions be shared with the government so that these ideas extend beyond events and are integrated into governance.

He thanked Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel for his leadership and praised him as a sincere and compassionate leader. On behalf of legislators and citizens, he congratulated the Chief Minister for his work over the past three years and thanked citizens for strengthening the government through trust and teamwork.

Abdul Kalam while urging citizens to actively contribute to state and national development.
