CM Pu Lalduhoma Announces Guidelines For Hand Holding Policy

Aizawl : Today, in a meeting at the CM Conference Hall, Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma, along with the Mizoram State Policy Coordination Committee and implementing departments, unveiled the guidelines for the Hand Holding Policy.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that the Hand Holding Scheme aims to support and guide beneficiaries effectively. He emphasized that the scheme seeks to address all necessary aspects, ensuring that it is implemented with thorough coordination between banks and central schemes. The goal is to provide comprehensive assistance and oversight to progress partners involved in the scheme. The Chief Minister noted that if any issues arise, especially with interest payments, they should be addressed promptly.

The Hand Holding Scheme is designed to offer extensive support, including progress monitoring and evaluation by progress partners. It aims to facilitate a smooth implementation process and ensure that all guidelines are adhered to. The scheme will also include provisions for financial assistance under the CM Special Package, although it is crucial to manage expectations regarding the total financial support available.

Pu Lalmalsawma Pachuau, Member Secretary of MSPCC and Planning Secretary, provided an overview of the guidelines, while Pu LP Lalchangkima, MD of ZIDCO, discussed the provisions for interest-free loans and government guarantees.

The meeting was attended by various officials, including Pu Lalthansanga, Minister of Land Resources, Soil & Water Conservation; Pu PC Vanlalruata, Minister of Agriculture; Pi Lalrinpuii, Minister of Tourism; Prof. Lalnilawma, Minister of Horticulture; Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, Minister of Sports; and Dr. KC Malsawmzauva, Adviser to the Chief Minister, along with other members of the Coordination Committee and relevant departmental officials.
