Speaker inaugurates multidisciplinary conference — Development and innovation must be value-based: Speaker

Jaipur, December 2025 : Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani said that education, development, technology, and innovation must be value-based, relevant to the times, and aligned with the current era. Research and study should be beneficial to society and human life. He said that in human life, one must set goals and work with moral strength, leadership ability, and social commitment. Only then can the direction of societal development be defined.

Speaker lit the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the multidisciplinary conference

Speaker Shri Devnani inaugurated the two-day multidisciplinary conference on Friday by lighting the ceremonial lamp at Shri Bhawani Niketan Girls’ PG College. He also released a souvenir published on innovation, technology, women empowerment, and sustainable future based on human values. Vice Chancellor of the University of Rajasthan Prof. Alpana Kateja and Vice Chancellor of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University, Sikar, Prof. Anil Kumar Rai were the special guests. The keynote speaker at the conference was Dr. Laxman Singh Rathore, former Director General, Meteorological Department of India.

Make Indian culture a part of life and practice it

Shri Devnani said that in the new context, today’s student is today’s citizen. The new generation must broaden its thinking and analytical ability. They must also be instilled with pride in being citizens of India. Innovation must be done along with moral values. He said that the new generation should be familiarised with the values of India’s eternal cultural tradition so that qualities like sensitivity, respect, empathy, honesty, trust, compassion, and cooperation can develop among youth. Indian culture should be integrated into daily life and behaviour.

Promote Indian cultural content

Speaker Shri Devnani said that today’s changing environment is driven by artificial intelligence. When we seek information through AI, it provides non-emotional information. He said that more and more Indian cultural content should be available on the internet so that when someone obtains information through AI, they receive correct knowledge related to the Indian context.

Development and innovation must be value-based

Speaker Shri Devnani said that the name itself should evoke meaning, and this is necessary in innovation. He stated that innovation in education, development, and technology must be value-based. This is an era of social change, and along with material progress, spiritual and moral values are essential. Shri Devnani said that in Germany and Japan, scientists are conducting research based on the hymns of the Atharvaveda. He emphasised adopting modern technology in agriculture, medicine, and education, while carrying out development and innovation with moral integrity.

Women power must become carriers of Indian culture

Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani said that women must become carriers of Indian culture across the world. He said that women today are progressing in every field. Girls and women are creating records in various competitions. Shri Devnani congratulated and extended best wishes to the girls of Shri Bhawani Niketan Girls’ PG College for winning the gold medal in Kabaddi.

Inspired by Shri Devnani to speak in Hindi

The keynote speaker at the multidisciplinary conference, Dr. Laxman Singh Rathore, former Director General of the Meteorological Department of India, said that he usually delivers his address in English at seminars. But inspired by Speaker Shri Devnani, he decided to deliver his address in Hindi. Dr. Rathore stressed the need to simplify the implementation process of sustainable development goals, along with understanding social, economic, and environmental challenges.

Earlier, College Principal Smt. Meena Rathore delivered the welcome address. Conference coordinator Smt. Mamta Tanwar presented detailed information about the seminar.
