UAE-Based Indian Expat Wins BMW Motorcycle in Dubai Duty Free Draw
Dubai, Dec 2025 : An Indian expatriate in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has won a BMW motorcycle in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise draw, though he plans to sell it. Palani Andavar Aynar, a 38-year-old AC technician residing in Abu Dhabi, secured a BMW R 1300 RS motorbike after purchasing a ticket for the draw. Speaking to Gulf News, Aynar said, “Thank you, Dubai Duty Free, for this win. The money I get from selling this bike will be very useful.”
Aynar was one of three lucky winners in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise draw. Another winner from Abu Dhabi, 38-year-old Emirati aircraft engineer Salem Alfazari, received a Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 43. Alfazari, who works for Etihad Airways, had been facing car troubles after his vehicle broke down in the rain. He described his win as a stroke of luck, saying, “What a lucky day! My car was damaged in the floods caused by heavy rains, and now I’ve suddenly won a brand new car.” Alfazari had purchased two tickets for the series online on December 4 and attributed his fortunate turn to one of them. He has been participating in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion for over seven years.
The third winner, 61-year-old Dubai resident Ali Alnuaimi, won a Land Rover Defender after trying for 20 years. Alnuaimi, a father of six who runs a consulting and financial services firm, expressed immense joy at the win. “Thank you very much to Dubai Duty Free for this wonderful win! I can’t wait to drive my winning car on the streets of Dubai,” he told Gulf News.
