Diaspora Cell Interacts With Ten Influencers

Aizawl, December 2025: Today, the Mizo Diaspora Cell of the Chief Minister’s Office held an interactive meeting with several social media influencers across various media platforms at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall. Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma was also present. During the meeting, the influencers were briefed on ways to strengthen the work of the Diaspora Cell, enhance outreach, and utilise the platform more effectively.

Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma stated that:
“We are grateful to our people who have migrated outside the state due to work and employment. We want to assist them, especially because many who migrate without proper documentation face hardships in their host countries, and sometimes the government is unable to intervene or help them. We want to ensure that proper procedures are followed for their safety and well-being. In this regard, we seek your support—as influencers and YouTubers—to create awareness and spread the message.”

Pu Vanlaldina Fanai, Chairman of the Diaspora Cell, spoke about the establishment of the Cell and encouraged leading influencers to support its activities and responsibilities.

Pu Raymond Lalmuana, Member Secretary, also highlighted the ongoing work and progress of the Diaspora Cell.

Participants expressed their willingness to cooperate with the government and stressed the need for continuous communication and coordination.

The Mizo Diaspora Cell organised this interaction ahead of the Christmas festive season, acknowledging that many influencers would be returning home during this period. The event marks the beginning of a wider outreach effort. Accredited journalists, church youth representatives, and other prominent social media figures are also expected to be invited in future.
