Chandrababu Naidu Offers Prayers at Ram Janmabhoomi, Calls Ayodhya a Future Spiritual Hub

Amaravati/Ayodhya, Dec 2025 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday visited Ayodhya and offered prayers at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, describing the experience as spiritually uplifting and deeply inspiring. This marked his first personal visit to the temple after assuming office as Chief Minister.

Sharing his thoughts on social media platform X, Naidu said he felt blessed to have darshan at the “divine and magnificent” Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. He noted that Lord Ram’s ideals continue to hold relevance in contemporary times and serve as guiding principles for society. “Lord Shri Ram’s values and ideals are timeless lessons for us all. May they continue to guide and inspire us always,” he wrote.

On his arrival in Ayodhya, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister was warmly received by officials of the Uttar Pradesh government. Temple authorities welcomed him at the Ram Mandir premises and briefed him on the architectural design, spiritual significance, and ongoing development activities related to the temple complex.

Later, speaking to the media, Naidu said that Ayodhya was poised to emerge as one of the country’s most important spiritual centres in the coming years. He expressed confidence that within the next two years, the Ram Janmabhoomi temple would attract devotees from across India and abroad, playing a key role in strengthening spiritual and cultural values.

Naidu remarked that governance in India has traditionally been measured against the ideals of Ram Rajya, which he described as the highest benchmark for any administration. “Ram Rajya is the best model of governance. It represents justice, welfare and righteousness, and every government should strive to follow these principles,” he said.

The Chief Minister also acknowledged the collective effort that went into the construction of the temple. He said the Ram Mandir was built following reconciliation and consensus achieved through the judicial process and appreciated all those who contributed to turning a historic aspiration into reality. “This temple stands as a symbol of unity, faith and perseverance,” he observed.

Naidu praised the Uttar Pradesh government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their role in the development of Ayodhya and for ensuring smooth arrangements for devotees visiting the temple. He said the transformation of Ayodhya reflected effective planning and governance.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), led by Naidu, had earlier participated in the consecration ceremony (Pran Pratishtha) of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple on January 22, 2024. Naidu was among a select group of prominent non-BJP leaders who attended the ceremony after receiving an official invitation from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Subsequently, the TDP joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and contested the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in alliance with the BJP and the Jana Sena Party led by Pawan Kalyan. Following the alliance’s resounding victory in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu assumed office as Chief Minister.

The TDP has since emerged as a key partner in the BJP-led government at the Centre, strengthening its role in national politics.
