Bhavantar Symbolizes Government’s Commitment to Farmers’ Prosperity: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Bhavantar is an expression of the government’s reverence toward farmers. The Bhavantar amount is the rightful entitlement of farmers and a symbol of the government’s resolve for their prosperity. The government will never lag behind in ensuring farmers’ welfare. The new year 2026 has been dedicated to the welfare of farmers. Next year, an Agriculture Festival will be observed and the joy of farmers’ prosperity will be shared. Modern farming methods, agricultural extension services, and new technologies will be taken to villages so that farmers can make the right decisions at the right time to further improve their agriculture.
The Chief Minister said that the promises made to the people of the state have been fulfilled. This caravan of development will never stop, and no one will be deprived of the light of development. Participation of
all will be ensured in the state’s progress. He said that Ladli Behna are currently being given ₹1,500, which will be increased to ₹3,000. The government will provide employment to every needy and skilled youth in the state. More than 32 lakh farmers will be provided solar pumps, with up to 90 percent subsidy on the total cost.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the state-level conference organized in Jaora, Ratlam district, under the Soybean Bhavantar Payment Scheme. On this occasion, he transferred ₹810 crore as Bhavantar amount to more than 3.77 lakh soybean-producing farmers with a single click directly into their bank accounts. This included 12,386 farmers from Ratlam district, who received ₹20.74 crore. Including today’s transfer, the government has so far paid approximately ₹1,300 crore as Bhavantar amount to more than 6.25 lakh soybean-producing farmers across the state.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 33 development works worth over ₹145 crore, giving advance New Year gifts to the people of Ratlam district. These included inauguration of 12 works worth over ₹18 crore and foundation-laying of 21 works worth over ₹127 crore. He said these works would prove to be milestones in making Ratlam district beautiful, clean, and exemplary in civic amenities.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released a booklet focused on the life of Dr. Lakshminarayan Pandey, popularly known as the “Gandhi of Malwa.” He was presented with a memento by local public representatives. Earlier, the Chief Minister visited the agricultural development exhibition at the venue and welcomed the farmers with a shower of flowers.
On the demand of public representatives, the Chief Minister announced the construction of a modern outdoor–indoor stadium in Jaora. He also announced the establishment of a One Stop Centre in Jaora for short-term shelter for destitute women. For the construction of a heritage building in Jaora and complete renovation of a very old, dilapidated school, the Chief Minister announced ₹2 crore each. He said that daughters will not lag behind in education and announced the construction of new girls’ hostel buildings in villages Shujapur and Piploda of Ratlam district.
The Chief Minister said that Ratlam district will also benefit from the Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal National River Linking Project. Through this national project, 15 districts of Rajasthan and 15 districts of Malwa and Chambal regions of Madhya Pradesh—more than 30 districts in total—will benefit from permanent irrigation facilities. He said the government is also rapidly moving toward large-scale growth in animal husbandry and dairy farming. A new modern four-lane highway costing about ₹5,000 crore will be built in the Malwa region, which will also pass through Ratlam district. All demands of farmers related to this highway will be accepted, and if required, compensation for land acquisition will be increased.
Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that Dr. Lakshminarayan Pandey of Jaora was a personality whose work illuminated the region. He set an example of public service through his hard work. Shri Tomar expressed happiness at having received his guidance and learning much from him, adding that Dr. Pandey’s character and multi-dimensional personality should be emulated. Referring to the public welfare policies of the Madhya Pradesh government, he said that lakhs of farmers are benefiting from schemes like Bhavantar. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is successfully working for the welfare of the underprivileged. Farmers are the backbone of the economy, and wherever crops have been damaged, the state government has provided relief to farmers.
Agriculture Minister Shri Endal Singh Kansana said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has initiated innovative public welfare measures and has always remained at the forefront of working in farmers’ interests. He welcomed and felicitated the Chief Minister on behalf of the farmers of the state.
State President and MLA Shri Hemant Khandelwal said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav understands the pain of farmers and has implemented the Bhavantar scheme in Madhya Pradesh to protect them from losses. Referring to Dr. Lakshminarayan Pandey of Jaora, he said that Pandey carved a distinct identity through public service and represented values and culture in politics, from whose conduct and simplicity people should learn. Jaora MLA Dr. Rajendra Pandey said that the Bhavantar scheme has been successfully implemented under Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, benefiting farmers, along with compensation for crop losses. Under Dr. Mohan Yadav’s leadership, development is taking place for all sections, and Ratlam district and the Jaora region are progressing rapidly.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Devda, MP from Mandsaur–Neemuch–Jaora constituency Shri Sudhir Gupta, Rajya Sabha member Shri Banshilal Gurjar, former ministers Shri Omprakash Saklecha and Shri Hardeep Singh Dang, along with other public representatives and a large number of farmers, were present at the farmers’ conference.
