CM Yogi extended greetings for English New Year 2026, wishing it to be auspicious for all
Ayodhya, December 31 2025 : The second anniversary of Shri Ram Lalla’s Prana-Pratishtha at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, ‘Pratishtha Dwadashi’, was observed with devotion on Wednesday. The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. CM Yogi extended greetings for the English New Year 2026, praying that it be auspicious for everyone.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that Ayodhya has witnessed many phases of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in independent India. The name Ayodhya itself evokes the feeling that there was never a war here. No enemy could withstand the courage, grandeur, and valour of Ayodhya, but some people, in their selfishness, religious fanaticism, and baseness of appeasing power, turned Ayodhya into a hub of unrest and conflict.
Terror attacks during previous governments
Taking a dig at previous governments, CM Yogi said that in Ayodhya, which was earlier peaceful, terrorist attacks occurred under earlier administrations. Attempts were made to bloodbath Ayodhya, but where the grace of the Lord prevails and where Hanumangarhi houses Hanuman Ji, how could any terrorist enter? In 2005, as soon as terrorists acted recklessly, PAC jawans immediately eliminated them.
Three dates that can never be forgotten
CM Yogi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, three historic events in 11 years will never be forgotten in Ayodhya. For the first time in independent India, on August 5, 2020, a Prime Minister visited Ayodhya and performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Shri Ram Mandir. On January 22, 2024 (Paush Shukla Dwadashi), the Prime Minister returned to complete the Prana-Pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla’s grand idol. On November 25, 2025, on Vivah Panchami, the PM installed the saffron flag of Sanatan Dharma atop the main shikhara of Ram Mandir, declaring that nothing is above Sanatan. The Sanatan flag will always be seen like this.
Rajnath Singh’s direct role in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement
CM Yogi said that while serving as UP CM and fulfilling various organizational responsibilities, Rajnath Singh Ji played a direct role in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Witnessing Shri Ram Lalla’s installation after 500 years and the temple’s grandeur, he felt pride and joy. During the Pratishtha Dwadashi, while installing the Sanatan flag at Maa Annapurna Mandir, he was visibly emotional.
450 million devotees in five years
CM Yogi said that before 2017, Ayodhya lacked electricity, water, sanitation, roads, connectivity, and security. Earlier, shouting “Jai Shri Ram” could result in lathi and arrest, but today, every devotee of Sanatan Dharma from across India and the world comes to Ayodhya overwhelmed. In the past, only a few hundred thousand visited; in the last five years, over 450 million devotees have visited. Ayodhya, the capital of the Solar dynasty, has become India’s first solar city. An international airport exists, the railway is double-lined, and connectivity has improved in all directions. Single-lane roads have become four-lane.
“Jai Shri Ram” can now be spoken everywhere
Gorakshpeethadhishwar and CM Mahant Yogi Adityanath said that “Jai Shri Ram” and “Ram-Ram” can now be spoken everywhere in the country. The Government of India’s scheme “Ji Ram Ji” has also started. It is set to become the largest employment scheme: any unemployed person seeking work in their gram panchayat will get 125 days of guaranteed work annually in the village.
Devotees disregarded sticks and bullets
CM Yogi said that our generation is fortunate. Referring to 500 years of history, from 1528 to 1992 and beyond, devotees consistently struggled to reclaim Ram Mandir every 20-25 years. They neither stopped nor bowed; they fought irrespective of power, oppression, sticks, and bullets. The movement reached new heights of success under RSS leadership. Ashok Singhal succeeded in bringing revered saints together on one platform. The stain of slavery was erased, paving the way for the grand Ram Mandir.
Not a pause but a new beginning
CM Yogi said that the ceremony marks two years of Prana-Pratishtha. Every devotee of Sanatan Dharma must ensure the grandeur and divinity of Ayodhya is preserved eternally. This is not a pause but the beginning of a new journey. While taking pride in heritage, new standards of development must be established. PM Modi has given every Indian the vision of a developed India. When India completes 100 years of independence, every Indian should vow to preserve heritage and excel in their region. To raise the flag of the nation and Sanatan Dharma, collective effort is needed, which will establish India as a major global power.
