“Viksit Bharat Ji Ram Ji” Public Meeting Highlights Village Development and Economic Prosperity
Jaipur, Jan 2026: A public meeting on “Viksit Bharat Ji Ram Ji” was held on Monday in Patan, Ajmer district. At the event, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari emphasized that the initiative will pave the way for the economic development of villages. According to Union Agriculture Minister Bhagirath Choudhary, the program will uplift the poor, farmers, and rural communities.
During the meeting, Diya Kumari stated that “Viksit Bharat Ji Ram Ji” is fostering discussions on transformative changes for rural India. These changes stem from a vision that has guided India from despair to confidence, from dependence to self-reliance, and from mere schemes to practical solutions.
She highlighted that a large portion of the country’s population lives in villages, where seasonal unemployment and income instability have always been major challenges. “If the season is good, all is well; if bad, the entire year suffers,” she said, emphasizing the insecurity faced by farmers and laborers. She quoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who repeatedly states that India’s future lies not in urban skyscrapers but in the strong foundations of villages.
Diya Kumari said that without rural development, the goal of Viksit Bharat-2047 cannot be achieved. Strong villages are essential for a strong nation; prosperous farmers and laborers are essential for a developed India. She noted that while MGNREGA has not fully achieved its objectives under current conditions, the government has launched the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission – Rural (VBG Ram Ji), focusing on rural development, sustainable employment, and skill-based livelihoods.
She emphasized that the plan’s name itself conveys the promise of a developed India. “This is not merely a job scheme but a mission to empower villages,” she said, adding that opposition attempts to spread misconceptions about the scheme. “This initiative strengthens the poor rather than weakens them. It links labor with respect and a future.”
Union Agriculture Minister Bhagirath Choudhary added that due to Prime Minister Modi’s efforts, 27 crore people have been lifted out of the cycle of poverty, enhancing India’s global respect and transforming both the country and states. He noted that previous governments neglected village development, keeping the poor poor and the uneducated uneducated. The Ji Ram Ji scheme promises a transformative impact for the nation, the state, and Ajmer. Under this program, workers will receive 12% interest for delays exceeding 15 days in payment.
The event was attended by District Collector Lok Bandhu, District Council CEO Ram Prakash, Manjeet Kanwar, Ramesh Soni, and a large number of rural residents.
