Chief Minister Sai Gifts Development Projects Worth Over ₹122 Crore to Jashpur District
Raipur, January 2026 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, during his visit to Jashpur district today, gave historic momentum to works related to health, infrastructure, public welfare, and social development. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth more than ₹122 crore and distributed domestic LPG gas connections to over 2,000 women under the Ujjwala Scheme.
Over 2,000 Women Receive LPG Connections Under Ujjwala Scheme
The Chief Minister inaugurated a newly constructed 30-bedded Community Health Centre in Bagicha development block, built at a cost of approximately ₹2.43 crore, describing it as a lifeline for nearly two lakh people, including residents of forested areas and the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) Pahadi Korwa community. The modern health centre will offer specialist services in general surgery, ENT, paediatrics, orthopaedics, and gynaecology, along with advanced laboratory facilities. Approval has already been granted for 100 medical and paramedical staff, ensuring smooth functioning and reducing the need for patients to travel to distant cities for treatment.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated a Mega Health Camp at the same premises, where super-specialist doctors from departments such as neurology, nephrology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, ENT, and plastic surgery examined thousands of patients. Free medicines and laboratory tests were provided, and arrangements were made to refer serious patients to higher-level hospitals. He said the government’s top priority is to ensure access to quality healthcare even in remote and forested areas, and with this objective, medical, nursing, physiotherapy colleges and a naturopathy centre are being established in Jashpur.
At the Ujjwala Mahotsav in Bagicha, Chief Minister Sai distributed LPG connections to more than 2,000 women, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ujjwala Scheme has given women freedom from smoke, better health protection, and dignity. He also distributed loan cheques under the Mudra Scheme to youth for starting self-employment ventures. Additionally, he announced the construction of additional classrooms at Atmanand School, a bridge on the Bagicha–Binde road, a bridge over the Kanhar River, and the upgradation of the Bagicha Rest House.
The Chief Minister said that people have placed their trust in Modi’s Guarantee, and since the formation of the government, 18 lakh houses have been sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with over 8 lakh already completed. He highlighted major decisions such as the procurement of 21 quintals of paddy per acre, payment of ₹3,100 per quintal, bonus distribution, increased rates for tendu leaf collection, and financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month to 70 lakh women under the Mahtari Vandan Scheme, which have brought tangible changes to people’s lives.
During the Ujjwala Mahotsav in Bagicha, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 46 development works worth ₹110.47 crore, including the inauguration of 9 works costing ₹3.34 crore and the foundation laying of 37 works worth ₹107.13 crore. These include roads, bridges, archery academy infrastructure, and rural connectivity projects that will boost regional connectivity and economic activity.
At the All India Kanwar Society Annual Conference held in Pamshala village of Farsabahar block, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 12 development works worth ₹12.22 crore, including high-level bridges, rural roads, social buildings, school beautification, temple access roads, hostels, and an SDM office building. He also announced additional projects, including an anicut on the Eeb River, expansion of social buildings, and community infrastructure works. Prior to the event, he offered prayers at the Radha–Krishna Temple in Pamshala, wishing for the prosperity of the state.
The Chief Minister also inspected the under-construction Mangala Bhavan in Bagicha, being built at a cost of ₹1 crore, which will include a large hall, stage, rooms, parking, and modern amenities to facilitate weddings, social, and public events.
He reiterated the government’s resolve to ensure that facilities reach the last person and that remote regions such as Bastar and Surguja move forward strongly on the path of development.
