Isarda–Dausa Drinking Water Project
Drinking water supply to 1,256 villages and 6 towns of Dausa and Sawai Madhopur districts – 3,06,198 water connections – Pure drinking water for 3.5 million population – Project cost ₹4,058 crore
Jaipur, January 2026 : Rajasthan has long been grappling with water scarcity, which not only affects daily life but also impacts agriculture and animal husbandry in rural areas. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the Isarda–Dausa Drinking Water Project is being constructed to provide 3,06,198 water connections to 1,256 villages and 6 towns in the Dausa and Sawai Madhopur districts. Through this project, a population of 3.5 million in both districts will receive clean drinking water, while improved water availability will directly benefit farmers and livestock rearers.

Under the first package, construction work is underway for a 225 MLD filter plant, two clean water reservoirs (Isarda – 24.5 ML and Bagdi – 21.5 ML), two pump houses, and a total of 341 km of transmission pipeline (from the intake well to Mahua). So far, 286 km of pipeline has been laid by the firm. Currently, construction of the main transmission pipeline, quarters, guest house, clean water reservoirs, and the filter plant is in progress.
Under the second package, construction work of the intake well and pump house (building construction) at the Isarda Dam is being carried out. The estimated cost of this package is ₹17.82 crore.
Under the third package (A), within the Lalsot cluster, a population of 5,57,652 (projected for 2054) across 302 villages will be provided benefits through 33,460 water connections. Additionally, a population of 69,035 (2054) in Lalsot town will also benefit. At present, pipeline supply work and construction of clean and elevated reservoirs are in progress.
Under the third package (B), within the Dausa cluster, a population of 5,92,868 (2054) in 248 villages will be benefited through 39,250 water connections, along with a population of 1,79,790 (2054) in Dausa town.
Under the fourth package, the Baswa cluster package, it is proposed to benefit a population of 9,81,746 (2054) in 368 villages through 58,562 water connections, along with a population of 1,56,800 (2054) in Bandikui town. Work orders for Package IV (Baswa and Sikrai) have been issued. Currently, pipeline supply and construction of clean and elevated reservoirs are in progress. Under this cluster, a total of 2,077 km of pipeline is to be laid, out of which 1,666 km has already been completed.
Under the fifth package (Mahua), construction work of pipelines along with clean and elevated reservoirs is currently underway. Under this package, a total of 315 km of pipeline is to be laid, of which 208 km has been completed so far.
The sixth package covering the Bonli, Chauth ka Barwara, and Malarna Dungar clusters is being executed by the Sawai Madhopur project division. Under this package, drinking water will be provided to 99 villages of Bonli tehsil, 61 villages of Malarna Dungar tehsil, and 17 villages of Chauth ka Barwara tehsil.
