Review Meeting for ‘Hind Di Chadar’ Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji 350th Martyrdom Event
Nanded, Jan 2026 : Minister of State for Minority Development and Wakf, Madhuri Misal, has instructed that the ‘Hind Di Chadar’ event commemorating Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s 350th martyrdom should not be limited to Nanded but reach a global audience, and all authorities must work in coordination, with meticulous planning and full responsibility to achieve this.
Minister Misal conducted a detailed review of the event via video conference. The meeting was attended by the District Collectors of relevant districts, State-level Committee Coordinator Rameshwar Naik, Committee President Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh, Deputy Director of Information, District Information Officers, and senior officials from various departments.
She emphasized that adequate drinking water, clean and sufficient toilet facilities must be ensured at the venue. The promotion and publicity of the event should be carried out on a large scale. Local representatives must actively participate in the on-ground activities, and widespread public awareness should be created through social media, electronic media, and print media.
Minister Misal also directed that schools organize essay and elocution competitions to instill patriotism and inspiration among students, and share the results on official portals. She suggested screening devotional songs in cinemas and putting up hoardings in every district to spread the message of the event.
To ensure easy participation for women, senior citizens, and differently-abled persons, she instructed that proper transport arrangements from parking areas to the venue must be made.

A grand event will be held at the 52-acre Public Works Department grounds in Asarjan, Nanded, on January 24 and 25, 2026, to mark Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s 350th martyrdom anniversary. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Guardian Minister Atul Save, along with several other ministers, saints, and mahants, will attend, District Collector Rahul Kardile informed.
Preparations at the venue are at a war-footing and in the final stage. Separate parking arrangements for devotees have been made, and two grand tent cities have been erected near the ground. One tent city can accommodate around 14,000 devotees, with additional lodging arranged in city schools and community halls. Nodal officers have been appointed for all these facilities.
The event will also feature cleanliness management, volunteer arrangements, free service stalls, and extensive medical services, including 50,000 eye check-ups and specialized cancer screening stalls.
A grand langar (community meal) arrangement has been made to benefit around 1 million devotees. All departments are working in coordination to ensure smooth arrangements for lodging, food, transportation, health, and security.
The review meeting also covered the publicity and promotional activities already carried out and planned for the upcoming days to ensure maximum outreach for the event.
