Amaravati, Jan 22: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said his visit to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos was highly productive in promoting the state’s brand on a global platform.

Winding up his four-day trip, Naidu emphasized that the WEF provides valuable insights into changing trends in the global industrial sector and allows direct engagement with industrial leaders from around the world. He added that the interactions helped showcase Andhra Pradesh’s achievements across key sectors including green energy, technology, artificial intelligence, agriculture, and tourism.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Naidu observed that global corporate giants are increasingly interested in India, driven by the country’s youthful workforce, effective leadership, and investor-friendly policies. He stressed that these factors have expanded opportunities for setting up enterprises across sectors.

During his Davos visit, Naidu held over 36 meetings, including three high-level discussions with delegations from Israel, the UAE, and Switzerland. He also met 16 global industrial leaders at the forum and participated in more than nine key sessions, providing him a platform to exchange perspectives on policy effectiveness and industrial trends.

Key topics discussed during the visit included the progress of the TCS Development Centre in Visakhapatnam, the proposed Quantum Valley in Amaravati, and solar power projects in Kurnool. The Chief Minister highlighted that such discussions are crucial for attracting investment and enhancing Andhra Pradesh’s global industrial profile.

Naidu also engaged with the Telugu diaspora in Europe, strengthening ties and boosting confidence among the community through dedicated programmes. On the sidelines of the summit, he gave exclusive interviews to national and international media, further amplifying the state’s visibility on the world stage.

The Chief Minister concluded that the Davos visit not only helped in assessing the impact of policies implemented in Andhra Pradesh but also in positioning the state as a competitive, investment-friendly destination for global enterprises.
