Telangana Secures ₹623 Crore Investment from Schneider Electric at WEF 2026

Davos, Jan 2026 : At the World Economic Forum (WEF 2026) in Davos, the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy led the ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation to meet Mr Deepak Sharma, CEO, Schneider Electric India, resulting in a fresh investment commitment of ₹623 crore for the state.

Schneider Electric India will expand its existing Gagillapur and Shamshabad facilities, boosting manufacturing capacity for key electrical safety products such as Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB), contactors, and push buttons.

The discussions also included collaboration on energy transition and storage projects, focusing on grid modernisation, energy efficiency, and digital power management for industrial parks and urban infrastructure. The delegation explored opportunities to enhance smart manufacturing capabilities in Telangana, particularly for energy management, automation, and EV-related components.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu welcomed the investment, emphasizing that sustainability and a Net-Zero development goal by 2047 remain central to Telangana’s vision.

Mr Sharma highlighted that Schneider Electric India operates 38 development centres in Telangana for skilling initiatives and continues to strengthen its presence across the state, reinforcing its commitment to both industrial growth and sustainable development.

This investment marks a significant step in Telangana’s industrial expansion and positions the state as a hub for advanced manufacturing and clean energy solutions, showcasing its conducive ecosystem for global investors.

The WEF 2026 engagement underscores Telangana’s proactive approach in attracting strategic investments while aligning industrial development with environmental sustainability and technological advancement.
