Lucknow, Oct 2026 : Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will address the Uttar Pradesh BJP's state executive committee meeting in Lucknow on Friday, as the party intensifies its organisational activities and begins preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections.

The meeting is expected to review the party's organisational performance, assess ongoing activities and chalk out a future action plan, with particular emphasis on strengthening its grassroots network and improving coordination among leaders and workers across the state.

The Office of the Union Home Minister announced the programme on its official X account on Thursday, stating that Shah would address the Uttar Pradesh BJP's state executive meeting in Lucknow on Friday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both Deputy Chief Ministers, senior party leaders and members of the state executive committee are expected to attend the meeting.

The deliberations are likely to focus on organisational preparedness, the party's strategy for the 2027 Assembly elections and measures to strengthen its presence at the grassroots level. The leadership is also expected to review the functioning of organisational units and discuss ways to ensure better coordination between the state leadership and workers.

The meeting assumes significance as the BJP seeks to accelerate its organisational outreach across Uttar Pradesh ahead of the next Assembly elections. Strengthening booth-level networks and improving the functioning of mandals and Shakti Kendras are expected to remain among the key priorities.

As part of these efforts, Shah is also likely to interact with booth-level workers representing different regions of the state. The proposed interactions are expected to provide an opportunity to assess organisational activities and review preparations at the grassroots level.

Earlier on Thursday, BJP MP Priyanka Singh Rawat welcomed the proposed meeting, saying that party leaders and workers would benefit from Shah's guidance.

Speaking to IANS, Rawat said leaders and representatives from the state and the Centre would participate in the meeting and expressed her welcome to those attending.

She said the meeting would provide an opportunity for party workers to receive guidance from the Union Home Minister on upcoming organisational programmes and priorities.

Rawat also underlined the importance of strengthening the party's organisational structure, particularly at the booth and local levels.

"Based on the directions given on how to carry out upcoming programmes, we will work to further strengthen our booths, mandals and Shakti Kendras," she said.

The meeting is expected to set the direction for the BJP's organisational activities in the coming months as the party prepares to mobilise its leadership and cadre across Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2027 electoral contest.
