Chakan MIDC Issues to Be Resolved on Priority: Deputy CM Sunetra Ajit Pawar

Pune, August 2026 : Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar has assured industrialists that issues related to roads, traffic congestion and other infrastructure facilities in the Chakan MIDC area will be addressed on priority.

She said a meeting with industrialists from Chakan, senior MIDC officials and representatives of the local and district administration would be convened shortly to find solutions to the problems affecting the industrial hub.

Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar held a detailed telephonic discussion with Dhananjay Shedbale, a representative of the Chakan Civic Action Committee and industrial associations. During the interaction, she heard the concerns raised by entrepreneurs and assured them that necessary steps would be taken to resolve the issues at the earliest.

Immediate Directions to Senior Officials

Taking serious note of the problems faced by industries in Chakan, Pawar directed senior officials to initiate immediate measures.

She instructed MIDC Chief Executive Officer Dipendra Singh Kushwah, Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi, PMRDA Commissioner Abhijit Chaudhary, Pune Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Gajanan Patil, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, Khed Sub-Divisional Officer Anil Daunde and Chakan Municipal Council Chief Officer Ankush Jadhav to take necessary action.

Pawar said all stakeholders would be taken into confidence while working towards a comprehensive solution to the issues.

She expressed confidence that a coordinated approach involving the industrial community, MIDC authorities, police and local administration would help address the long-standing concerns related to infrastructure and traffic management in the Chakan industrial area.

The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that the government would give priority to resolving the problems and ensuring that industrial activity in Chakan continues without unnecessary disruptions.
