Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inspected the Talun Sub-Health Centre in a remote rural area during his visit to Barwani district on Friday. He reviewed the healthcare facilities available at the centre and sought detailed information on the health services being provided to local residents.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav sought information from the Community Health Officer about the number of pregnant women in the area, the healthcare services being provided to them and the status of their regular health check-ups. He also enquired about the identification and health monitoring of High-Risk Pregnancies (HRPs). The Chief Minister further sought details about the number of sickle cell patients in the area and the status of their treatment and health monitoring.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed a health mapping initiative prepared by Antra Foundation. The map displays, through designated points, health-related information concerning pregnant women, high-risk pregnant women and children in the area. Sickle cell patients and malnutrition cases have also been marked on the map, facilitating the identification of beneficiaries, regular health monitoring, and the delivery of necessary services.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav took details of the initiative and emphasised the importance of using health mapping to ensure that healthcare services reach people in need in a timely manner. He also sought information on the entry of health-related data on the Anmol Portal at the centre. The Chief Minister enquired about healthcare services for pregnant women and children, the status of immunisation and the availability of medicines at the centre.
The Community Health Officer informed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav that essential health information is regularly entered on the portal. All essential medicines are made available at the centre on time, and rural residents are receiving healthcare services without difficulty.
Ensuring Healthcare Access in Rural Areas a State Government Priority
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also reviewed the healthcare initiatives being undertaken under the Green Commando Campaign in the remote rural areas of the Pati region of Barwani district. He appreciated the efforts to expand access to healthcare services in rural and difficult-to-reach areas.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that ensuring the availability of healthcare services in remote rural areas is a priority of the State Government. He emphasised the need for continuous attention to the identification and regular health monitoring of pregnant women, children, sickle cell patients and malnourished children.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the health staff to ensure that people derive maximum benefit from the healthcare facilities available in rural areas and that eligible beneficiaries receive timely examinations, treatment, medicines and other essential health services.
