Dr Ajay Gupta Elected Unopposed as National President
Lucknow, Aug 2026 : Dr Ajay Gupta of Lucknow was elected unopposed as the National President at the election convention of the All India Shri Ayodhyavasi Vaishya Mahasabha. Around 250 life members and members of the Board of Directors from various parts of the country attended the convention, which was held at Ram Janki Mandapam in Gursahaiganj, Kannauj. The newly elected office-bearers resolved to make the Mahasabha stronger and more व्यापक.
The election process was conducted under the supervision of Chief Election Officer Dr S.P. Kaushal and Assistant Election Officers Ashok Raja (Bhopal) and Siddh Gopal Prabhakar (Kanpur). After Dharmendra Kaushal, who had filed his nomination for the post of National President, withdrew his candidature, Dr Ajay Gupta was declared elected unopposed. Along with him, Sunil Gupta (Raebareli) was declared elected as National General Secretary, Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta (Katni) as National Treasurer, Prabha Gupta (Banda) as National Women's President and Shailesh Gupta (Rajnandgaon) as National Youth President. The convention emphasised strengthening the organisation, connecting members of the community across the country, and increasing the participation of women and youth.
Prominent Vaishya community members present at the convention included Umashankar Gupta (Chief Director), O.P. Gupta, outgoing president Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Rajendra Gupta, Surendra Gupta, Sanjay, Advocate, Krishnachandra Vaishya, Madhu Gupta, Santosh Gupta (Mullu), Mahesh Gupta, Hariom Gupta, Kailash Chandra, Sanjeev Gupta, Jai Shankar Sarraf, Aniket Gupta (Chief Organiser), Maya Gupta, Preeti Kaushal, Krishna Babu Gupta, Saurabh Gupta, Lavkush Gupta (Atarra, Banda), Arjun Prakash Gupta, Ajit Prakash Gupta, Suresh Kanha (Banda), Shivkumar Kaushal and Sanjeet Kaushal (Jagdishpur), among a large number of other prominent Vaishya community members.
