Hyderabad, Aug 2026 : The 19th edition of the CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 is drawing prospective homebuyers and investors to the HITEX Exhibition Centre, with more than 300 RERA-approved projects from over 60 developers being showcased across residential and commercial segments.
The three-day exhibition, being held from August 28 to 30, brings together apartments, villas, plotted developments and commercial properties across multiple price categories. Banks and financial institutions are also participating, offering visitors guidance on home loans, financing options and related financial requirements.
Organised around the theme “Rate Aagadhu – Demand Thaggadhu”, or “rates will not fall, demand will not decrease”, the event reflects the industry’s confidence that Hyderabad’s property market will remain resilient despite concerns among buyers about elevated prices.
Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju inaugurated the exhibition and highlighted Hyderabad’s growing position as a globally preferred destination. He attributed the city’s appeal to its expanding business ecosystem, infrastructure development and investment opportunities.
Jaju pointed to major infrastructure initiatives, including the Hyderabad Metro Phase-II expansion and the Musi Riverfront Development, saying such projects would further strengthen the city’s long-term growth prospects. He also emphasised the importance of the real estate sector to Telangana’s economic expansion and said the state government remained committed to transparent and sustainable development.
CREDAI Hyderabad President-Elect B. Jagannath Rao said the residential property market had demonstrated resilience during the first half of 2026. Data presented by CREDAI Hyderabad showed that 26,068 homes were sold during January-June, generating sales worth approximately ₹52,913 crore.
However, the number of units sold declined by 13 per cent compared with the corresponding period last year, indicating that rising prices may be influencing buyer decisions even as overall demand remains strong.
During the first six months of the year, nearly 60 million square feet of residential space was absorbed in Hyderabad. The average size of homes sold was around 2,300 square feet, while the average ticket size rose 10 per cent year-on-year to approximately ₹2.03 crore.
Developers launched around 49,656 new residential units during the period, highlighting continued confidence in the city's housing market and its ability to absorb new supply.
CREDAI Hyderabad President N. Jaideep Reddy, meanwhile, called for greater policy clarity on building-permit mortgage requirements and procedures related to NALA. He urged the Telangana government to consider removing or reducing the existing 10 per cent building-permit mortgage requirement, arguing that the move would free up capital currently locked by developers.
While developers remain optimistic about the market, the exhibition has also highlighted affordability concerns among prospective buyers. Visitors looking for larger homes said prevailing prices in several key locations were making purchases increasingly difficult.
One prospective buyer searching for a 3 BHK or 3.5 BHK home in Kokapet said properties within a budget of ₹1.5 crore to ₹2 crore had become difficult to find. The buyer suggested that projects priced above ₹2.5 crore should see a reduction of at least 20 per cent.
For buyers, the exhibition provides an opportunity to compare projects, developers, locations, prices, amenities and financing options under one roof before making a major investment decision.
Developers participating in the show said they had received interest from families and expected footfall from more serious buyers over the weekend. Alongside property showcases, the event features panel discussions and cultural programmes.
The CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 will conclude on Sunday, August 30, with the exhibition offering a snapshot of Hyderabad’s property market at a time when strong demand, expanding infrastructure and rising ticket sizes are shaping the city’s real estate landscape.
