Patna, October 2026: Bihar Governor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain and Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Thursday paid floral tributes to Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan on the occasion of his death anniversary.
The Governor and the Chief Minister offered floral tributes at the statue of Jayaprakash Narayan located at the south-western corner of Gandhi Maidan in Patna and remembered his contribution to the country.
Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, Cooperation Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, Building Construction Minister Lesi Singh, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister Lakhendra Kumar Raushan, BJP state president and MLA Sanjay Saraogi, MLAs Shyam Rajak and Arun Manjhi, and Kisan Aayog Chairman Roop Narayan Mehta were among those present on the occasion.
A large number of social and political workers and other dignitaries also paid floral tributes at the statue of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan and offered their respects.
As part of the programme, artists from the Information and Public Relations Department performed aarti and devotional songs, followed by renditions of the National Song, National Anthem, Bihar Song and patriotic songs.
The leaders and dignitaries recalled Jayaprakash Narayan's enduring contribution to India's freedom movement and public life and paid homage to the veteran leader on his death anniversary.
