Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that programmes organised under the All India Kalidas Samaroh should also include activities based on memories of renowned lyricists and litterateurs associated with the state, such as poet Shri Pradeep, Shri Krishna Saral, Shri Shivmangal Singh Suman and Shri Sharad Joshi. Senior artists and directors associated with theatre should be provided maximum opportunities to showcase their art. Youth should also be given priority in being associated with activities of the All India Kalidas Samaroh.
CM Dr. Yadav was discussing the outline of programmes proposed for the 68th Kalidas Samaroh in the Mantralaya conference room. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is Chairman of Central Committee of the Samaroh. Members of the Central Committee of Samaroh were present at the meeting. The Kalidas Samaroh is scheduled to be held from November 21 to 27.
CM Dr. Yadav said that Kalidas Samaroh is a prestigious event. Arrangements should be made to provide opportunities to state's talents and connect them with various online and offline art competitions as well. Ekant Dham Omkareshwar should also be associated with the Samaroh, and participation of music schools and universities should be ensured. CM Dr. Yadav obtained information about the outline prepared for the seven-day Samaroh. He said that representatives of regional dialects and languages should also add to the splendour of the Samaroh. A police band performance should also be ensured. CM Dr. Yadav directed that necessary arrangements be ensured for all programmes.
Additional Chief Secretary Shri Shivshekhar Shukla informed that under Poorva Rang, a Mangal Kalash Yatra and Nandi cultural presentation will be held on November 20. On the inaugural day of the Samaroh, November 21, guests will inaugurate the National Painting and Sculpture Exhibition. A cultural presentation will also be held. Renowned artistes associated with classical instrumental music have been invited for this. On November 22, the Samaroh will feature a National Research Seminar and Pandit Suryanarayan Vyas Memorial Lecture. On November 23, the Mahakavi Kalidas Memorial Lecture will be held. On November 24, Padma Shri Wakankar Memorial Lecture and staging of Sanskrit plays will take place. On November 25, Sanskrit Kavi Samavaya and a Hindi play will be presented. On November 26, there will be a Sant Samagam, while on November 27, the concluding day, programmes including a cultural presentation and award distribution will be held.
On this occasion, Director of Kalidas Sanskrit Academy Dr. Govind Gandhe, MP Shri Anil Firojiya, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, Shri Rajesh Kushwaha, Shri Roop Pamnani, Shri Shripad Joshi, office-bearers of educational institutions, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anupam Rajan, Chief Minister's Secretary Dr. Sudam Khade and officers concerned were present at the meeting.
