“Telangana CM urges Tollywood: Raise ticket prices, raise awareness.”
The Telangana government has consistently supported the Tollywood industry, extending favors whenever needed. With the new government continuing this trend, major films are now implementing ticket price hikes, signaling positive growth for the industry.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized that the film sector must adhere to certain guidelines to benefit from government support. He urged the industry to unite for social causes, stressing the importance of fulfilling social responsibilities.
Addressing concerns over drug abuse, CM Revanth Reddy underscored the government’s stringent actions against illegal activities. He outlined a new requirement for film industry stakeholders seeking permission to increase ticket prices. “Celebrities must contribute to social issues like cybercrime and drug abuse through a two-minute public service announcement featuring film stars,” he stated. This condition ensures that societal responsibilities are met in exchange for government support, reflecting a balanced approach to industry growth and social accountability.
