Aizawl District Training For Electoral Roll Revision Procedures

Aizawl : A training session for the upcoming Special Summary Revision of the Electoral Roll 2025 was conducted today at the Aizawl DC Conference Hall. The session was attended by EROs and AEROs from Aizawl District and was inaugurated by Aizawl DC Er. Lalhriatpuia.

The Special Summary Revision of the Electoral Roll is held regularly to ensure that all eligible citizens are included in the electoral roll. This allows for the inclusion, correction, and deletion of names as necessary. During today’s training, participants were briefed on the importance and necessary preparations for this process. For the upcoming Special Summary Revision of the Electoral Roll, individuals who turn 18 by January 1, 2025, will be eligible to register.

The schedule for the Roll Revision is as follows:

1. The draft roll will be published on October 29, 2024.
2. The period for claims and objections will be from October 29 to November 28, 2024.
3. The last date for the disposal of claims and objections will be November 24, 2024.
4. The final roll will be published on January 6, 2025.
