Transport Minister Anil Vij supports ‘One Nation, One Election’ Decision

Chandigarh – Haryana Transport Minister, Sh. Anil Vij expressed his support for the “One Nation, One Election” decision while interacting with journalists at his office in Chandigarh today.

He said that this is a commendable step taken by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi as a nationalist vision. Vij further said that this decision should have been implemented right after independence, but previous governments ignored it. Now, under Sh. Narendra Modi’s leadership, a move in the country’s interest has been initiated. 

Vij stated that frequent elections in India, like the recent Lok Sabha and Haryana and Maharashtra Assembly elections, and now the upcoming Delhi elections, disrupt development work due to the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct. He said this decision would ensure that developmental projects can continue without interruptions. 

Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi aims to make India a developed nation, and every Indian citizen should welcome and support this initiative. He criticized opposition parties for opposing the decision, stating that their objections show their hunger for power and ignorance about development of the Country, added Sh. Vij.

Speaking on the no-confidence motion, Sh. Vij said that such a motion had never been brought against a Vice -President before by any party. He said that opposition parties are using it to divert attention from the George Soros issue and disrupt the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, trying to hinder the nation’s development.
