Deputy CM Diya Kumari Meets Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat – Discussions on Conservation and Promotion of Rajasthan’s Tourist Destinations
Jaipur : Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Diya Kumari met Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at his office in New Delhi on Monday. The meeting focused on Rajasthan’s tourism development, conservation, and promotion of key tourist destinations. Minister Shekhawat listened positively, assured necessary action on the discussed points, and provided significant suggestions.
During the meeting, Diya Kumari shared insights from discussions held with tourism department officials, emphasizing the expansion of tourism, exploring new opportunities, promoting tourism in border areas, and boosting tribal and rural tourism in Rajasthan. Additionally, the development of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) centers in the state was also deliberated.
The Deputy CM also highlighted the potential of heritage tourism in the Shekhawati region, particularly the restoration and promotion of havelis. She further presented a formal letter to the Union Minister outlining various tourism-related demands for Rajasthan.
