Despite scorching heat, thousands gathered to see and hear CM Yogi, slogans of “Yogi-Yogi” echoed continuously

Nadia/Purba Bardhaman/North 24 Parganas, April 2026 : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a strong attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) from the soil of West Bengal on Saturday. He said clearly, Mamata didi opposed the CAA because she is worried that if Hindus increase, how will “iftari” be held on the streets.

He said “TMC does not believe in democracy. Everyone witnessed its hooliganism during the first phase of polling. But when the results come on May 4, TMC goons will have no place to hide. With the possibility of a double engine government in Bengal, these goons have started searching for work. Some are thinking where to open a ‘puncture shop’, while others are worried about saving their lives by becoming road sweepers. However, wherever these attackers go, we will track them down.”

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing public meetings in support of BJP candidates Shruti Shekhar Goswami from Nabadwip Assembly constituency, Krishna Ghosh from Katwa, and Soma Thakur from Bagda Assembly constituency. Even in the intense heat, there was no insufficiency in the enthusiasm of the people of Bengal towards CM Yogi. Thousands present at the rallies continuously raised slogans of “Yogi-Yogi”.

He expressed gratitude to the voters for this affection. He said Bengal will no longer accept anarchy. The stigma of loot imposed on Bengal by Congress, Communists, and TMC must now end. The people of Bengal have decided to bring a double engine government, which will work at double speed. To settle accounts with TMC goons, a double engine government in Bengal is necessary.

CM Yogi congratulated voters for record voting on 152 seats in the first phase. He said every voter had the will to free Bengal from terror, mafia rule, and corruption and to re-establish it as a symbol of India’s identity by bringing a BJP double engine government. The scenes on polling day indicated that when results come on May 4, saffron flags will be seen waving across Bengal.

CM Yogi said, 500 years ago, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu attracted the world through the melodious chant of “Hare Krishna, Hare Rama” and established India’s Sanatan flag on the global stage, and today ISKCON monks are doing the same. This land represents India’s spiritual heritage, pride, sacrifice, courage, and self-respect. It is the land of spirituality, patriotism, art, and literature. This land once led India’s spiritual, cultural, and literary heritage. This is the same Bengal that was once known as the “cultural capital” of the country.

He informed, “Today, under TMC rule, Bengal is struggling for its identity. Industries are shutting down, farmers are not getting fair prices, youth are not getting jobs, and government employees are not receiving full salaries. Law and order is alarming and hooliganism is at its peak. In a TMC government symbolizing terror, mafia rule, and corruption, BJP worker Sanjay Bhowmik was brutally murdered, and TMC goons roam freely. Land, sand, and cattle mafias dominate Bengal. The money sent by PM Modi for development is being looted by TMC goons, but Bengal has now awakened. The era of “cut money” and anarchy will end.”

CM told voters that the time has come to get rid of the TMC government that allows infiltrators to rob your rights. Any work that benefits India and Bengal is opposed by TMC. When the Prime Minister brought the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) in Parliament, TMC opposed it. This Act guarantees that Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Sikhs persecuted in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan and living in India for more than five years will get Indian citizenship.

He further added, due to this Act, many people in Bengal have received citizenship, but Mamata didi does not like it. She is worried that if Hindus increase, how will “iftari” be held on the streets. But in UP, no one can offer namaz or organize “iftar party” on the roads. Even sound does not come from mosques there.

CM said, “A large number of people from the Matua community live here, many of whom came to India in 1947 and 1971. Congress, Communists, and TMC did not want them to get Indian citizenship, but because of PM Modi, the Matua community now feels secure and proudly moves forward as Indian citizens.”

CM Yogi added, on April 12, he distributed citizenship and land ownership certificates to displaced Hindus from Bangladesh in Lakhimpur Kheri. He said that in UP, there are four districts where members of the Matua community and displaced Bengali families reside, and all of them are being granted citizenship and land ownership rights due to CAA. This has been possible because PM Modi thought about them, while Congress, Communists, and TMC did not.

Chief Minister said, “Before 2017, the condition of Uttar Pradesh was worse than Bengal. Before festivals, there was fear instead of enthusiasm. There were no jobs for youth, farmers were committing suicide, riots and curfews were common, and law and order was weak. Devotees of Lord Ram were fired upon. But after the formation of the double engine government in 2017, there has been a major transformation.”

He added, now there is a festive atmosphere instead of unrest. There is no curfew or anarchy. The mafia nurtured by Congress and SP had their “bones crushed” by bulldozer action. Today Uttar Pradesh has become the state with the highest number of expressways in the country. No disorder can take place on the roads. If you visit Kashi, you will see a grand new Kashi, and in Ayodhya, a grand Ram Mandir has been built, which was once opposed by Congress, TMC, Communists, and the Samajwadi Party.

Comparing Bengal with UP, CM Yogi said, “His government has provided around 9 lakh government jobs, including a large number of women. Additionally, 60 lakh youth have been employed in large industries and more than 3 crore youth have received employment through MSME units. In contrast, during TMC rule in Bengal, 30 lakh youth became unemployed and industries shut down. Where mafia and corruption prevail, development is not possible and industries do not come up.”

CM Yogi stated, “Mamata didi opposes Durga Puja, idol immersion, and Hindus in Bengal. She imposes restrictions on saying ‘Jai Shri Ram’. The Kolkata High Court had to order strict action against those who were attacking Durga Puja processions and creating disorder, but the TMC government did not act.”
He said clearly that no one can stop the worship of Maa Kali and Maa Durga in Bengal, and those who try will face protests on the streets.

He added that cow slaughter and division of Hindus will not be allowed on Bengal’s soil. Mamata didi says “khela hobe”, but now it should be said “khela shesh, unnayan shuru” (game over, development begins).
