Officials Enjoy Rhythmic Musical Evening at ‘Tech Vari Taalrang’ Programme
Mumbai, May 2026 : As part of the ‘Tech Vari 2.0’ initiative organised by the General Administration Department, a vibrant musical event titled ‘Tech Vari Taalrang’ captivated officers and staff during the ‘Maharashtra Training Week’ celebrations. The programme offered a refreshing cultural experience, with participants enjoying the rich and rhythmic sounds of traditional instruments like the dholki and sambal.
Held at the Trimurti Courtyard of Mantralaya, the event resonated with energetic beats and lively performances that created an electrifying atmosphere. Renowned artists Nilesh Parab (dholki and sambal player) and Krishna Musale (dholki player) enthralled the audience with their dynamic presentation, adding colour and depth to the programme.
The highlight of the evening was a captivating jugalbandi (duet) between the two performers, showcasing their exceptional skill and coordination on the dholki. The performance drew enthusiastic applause from the audience, reflecting their appreciation for the artists’ talent and the engaging musical experience.
The programme began on an auspicious note with a Ganpati Vandana, setting a traditional and devotional tone for the event. Throughout the session, a variety of performances were presented using instruments such as the dholki, dhol, sambal, and flute. These included renditions of Gondhal and Koli folk songs, which added a cultural touch and entertained the attendees.
The event witnessed the presence of several senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, and other officers and staff from various departments of the Mantralaya. Their participation underscored the importance of such cultural initiatives in fostering engagement and relaxation alongside professional commitments.
The ‘Tech Vari 2.0’ initiative aims to blend technology, training, and cultural enrichment for government employees. Participants were also encouraged to join virtually by scanning a QR code provided as part of the programme.
