Project Bloom Review Meeting And Felicitation For 4th Quarter 2025–2026 Held In Lunglei

Lunglei, May 2026 : A review meeting on the progress of Project BLOOM (Better Living through Outreach, Optimal Maternal & Child Health) was held today in Lunglei under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Pi Navneet Mann. The meeting assessed ongoing interventions aimed at improving maternal and child health in the Lungsen Aspirational Block, and also featured the distribution of awards to outstanding 3A workers—ASHA, Anganwadi Workers and ANMs—for the 4th Quarter of 2025–2026.

Sub-Deputy Commissioner Pi Lalnunchhani Hnamte delivered the welcome address, following which the Deputy Commissioner presented awards to the deserving recipients. She commended the dedication of frontline workers and encouraged them to continue their efforts toward the successful implementation of the project. Various departments and awardees also shared progress reports and suggestions during the meeting.

Under Project BLOOM, the Lungsen Aspirational Block has been divided into seven clusters based on its seven Health & Wellness Centres. A 3A report card system has been introduced to promote cluster-based competition, focusing on key health and nutrition indicators. Performance is assessed quarterly, with results and awards announced accordingly.

The first round of awards for the 3rd Quarter of 2025–2026 was distributed earlier this year on Republic Day. During today’s programme, the results for the 4th Quarter were announced, with the following centres receiving top honours:

Health & Wellness Centres:

1st Place: Putlungasih HWC

2nd Place: Lungrang South HWC

3rd Place: Rualalung HWC

Anganwadi Centres:

1st Place: Tuisenchhuah Cluster

(3 AWCs – Bolia 1, Bolia 2 & Tuisenchhuah)

2nd Place: Lungsen Cluster

(14 AWCs – Lungsen 1–11, Sihphirtlang, Rolui & Undermanik)

3rd Place: Phairuangkai Cluster

(5 AWCs – Phairuangkai 1–3, Rotlang West 1 & 2)

The Lungsen Block comprises seven Health & Wellness Centres and 44 Anganwadi Centres. Project BLOOM actively engages frontline workers, including Health & Wellness Officers, health workers, Anganwadi Workers and ASHAs. Through their concerted efforts and various project interventions, significant progress has been made in improving maternal health outcomes and the well-being of children under six years of age in the block.
