Focus on Multi-Sector Industrial Growth —Youth Employment Top Priority: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the State Government is focusing on establishing industries across all sectors in Madhya Pradesh. He stated that providing employment opportunities to youth remains a top priority of the government, which is also actively working for the welfare of farmers, women, poor families, and every section of society. The Chief Minister added that Madhya Pradesh is poised to achieve major progress in tourism and animal husbandry as well.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the cement manufacturing unit being established in the Guna region will generate employment for nearly 1,500 people. The Adani Group is establishing the unit on 32 hectares of land with a projected annual production capacity of 4 million tonnes.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Ambuja Cement Factory in Guna district on Sunday. On the occasion, he also performed bhoomi-Poojan and inaugurated several development projects aimed at accelerating industrial growth, strengthening infrastructure, and generating employment. The Chief Minister said that these development works will strengthen basic infrastructure in Guna district and ensure better public services for citizens. He remarked that the Gwalior-Chambal region, once known for bandit battles, is now emerging as a symbol of development and progress.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, “Today, development has replaced dacoity as the identity of this region”. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is undergoing transformative change. The Governments have been continuously working for public welfare. Referring to the enthusiasm among local residents, he said the atmosphere in the Guna region today resembles the joy of Holi and Diwali celebrations.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that irrigation facilities, drinking water supply, electricity, and other civic amenities have been expanded across the region, and the pace of development will continue.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s Major Announcements

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that while the Scindia family had initiated efforts for the region’s development in earlier decades, both the Central and State Governments are now jointly accelerating growth in the area.

Accepting suggestions from Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced three major development initiatives, including sending a proposal worth ₹80.22 crore to the Government of India under the Jal Shakti Scheme for the rejuvenation of the Guniya River. A bridge will be constructed over the Parvati River at a cost of ₹42 crore to improve connectivity between Lakshman Kopra and Ram Nagar Takodia. An amount of ₹25 crore has also been approved for the beautification of Bhujaria Talab in Guna city.

Youth Will No Longer Need to Migrate for Employment: Union Minister Shri Scindia

Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is working with dedication and commitment for the development of Madhya Pradesh. He said a new era of growth is beginning for the Guna district. Union Minister Shri Scindia described the establishment of the cement unit in Guna as a historic and long-awaited step. He also recalled the industrialisation initiatives undertaken by the Scindia family in the region nearly a century ago.

Union Minister Shri Scindia said the Madhya Pradesh Government is continuously working to establish industries in the state, which will ensure that the youth of Guna no longer need to travel to other states in search of employment. Women are also being empowered and transformed into “Lakhpati Didis,” enabling them to achieve economic prosperity. The Union Minister highlighted several major development projects in the region, including doubling of the Kota-Bina railway line, initiatives for the establishment of Tatya Tope University, implementation of water supply and irrigation schemes, widening of the Guna-Dewas National Highway at a cost of ₹5,000 crore, and construction of a 15-km bypass for Guna city. Union Minister Shri Scindia said that farmers in the Guna-Chachoura-Raghogarh belt are now earning recognition comparable to Punjab in the agricultural sector.

Madhya Pradesh Emerging as a Strong Industrial Hub: Shri Pranav Adani

Industrialist Shri Pranav Adani said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has gained new momentum in development. He said that improvements in infrastructure, logistics, transport and connectivity are strengthening the industrial ecosystem.  Shri Adani stated that the PM Gati Shakti Mission is creating a robust environment for industrial growth. Referring to the Global Investors Summit held in Bhopal last year, he said Adani Group Chairman Shri Gautam Adani had announced investment plans worth more than ₹1 lakh crore in Madhya Pradesh, and the cement unit in Guna marks a major step toward fulfilling that commitment. Shri Adani informed that an investment of ₹1,060 crore is being made in the first phase of the project, which is expected to increase more than threefold in subsequent phases. He added that the Group is expanding cement and other industrial units in areas including Katni and Kymore, besides undertaking projects in the energy sector.

Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister and Guna Minister-in-Charge Shri Govind Singh Rajput said that the wheel of development is moving rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. He said that after declaring an ‘Industry Year’, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has intensified efforts to usher prosperity during the “Krishak kalyan Varsh’ as well.

Shri Rajput informed that farmers whose land is acquired for development projects will receive four times the compensation. He added that after obtaining approval from the Government of India, wheat procurement in the state has been increased from 78 lakh metric tonnes to 100 lakh metric tonnes, ensuring farmers receive the full value of their hard work.

MLAs and public representatives from the district were also present at the programme.

Grand Welcome During Road Show

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia received a grand welcome during a road show on their arrival in Guna. Citizens, including youth, traders, women, and social workers, greeted the leaders with flower garlands. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also greeted the gathered citizens during the procession.
