Fit India Cycle Sunday: Grand Event Held at SMS Stadium on Commonwealth Day 2030 Theme
Chief Secretary cycles 5 km, spreads message of sports awareness and fitness

Jaipur, May 2026 : A grand “Fit India – Cycle Sunday” event was organised on Sunday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. This year’s theme was “Commonwealth Day 2030,” with players, officials, youth, and fitness enthusiasts participating with great enthusiasm.
The main highlight of the event was a cycling rally held around the stadium premises. The aim of the rally was to promote physical fitness, a healthy lifestyle, and awareness about the Commonwealth Games 2030 among citizens. A Zumba session was also organised, adding more energy and vibrancy to the event.
Several dignitaries were present on the occasion. Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas cycled 5 kilometres along with CRPF personnel and other participants, expressing his commitment to patriotism and sporting excellence. He said the event was not just a celebration but a meaningful step towards national health awareness and preparation for Commonwealth 2030. Senior officials of central security forces also marked their presence, including CRPF DIG Shri Brijesh and CISF Assistant Commandant.
Secretary of the Rajasthan State Sports Council Praveen Gupta and Finance Secretary Tina Soni also participated in the cycling event, inspiring the youth. Officials from the Sports Authority of India (SAI) also encouraged youth participation and fitness awareness.
Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of physical health, community sports participation, and India’s growing sporting ecosystem. Participants widely appreciated the initiative and said that more such public fitness events should be organised in Jaipur and across Rajasthan.
The event concluded with a collective pledge, where participants committed themselves to fitness, discipline, and supporting India’s sporting ambitions on the global stage.
