Government Prioritising Modern and Quality Healthcare for Citizens: CM Devendra Fadnavis
Cooper Hospital Receives Biochemistry Blood Analyser Under Indian Oil CSR Initiative
Mumbai, May 2026: The Maharashtra government has prioritised providing modern and high-quality healthcare services to common citizens, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
He stated that under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited, a fully automated state-of-the-art biochemistry blood analyser has been provided to the Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College and Dr. R. N. Cooper Municipal General Hospital in Juhu.
The Chief Minister said the government is committed to ensuring that economically weaker sections of society have access to faster, accurate, and high-quality medical services. He added that CSR initiatives are helping public hospitals receive advanced medical equipment, thereby strengthening the healthcare system and improving service delivery.
He further noted that under his leadership, the state’s public healthcare system is rapidly modernising, and this initiative represents a significant step in that direction. The new equipment is expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s diagnostic capacity, enabling a large number of blood tests to be conducted more quickly and accurately.
Routine as well as emergency biochemical tests will now be completed in a shorter time, helping doctors make quicker clinical decisions. This will allow earlier initiation of treatment and improve the overall quality of healthcare services.
Dr. R. N. Cooper Hospital is considered a major public healthcare centre for thousands of patients in Mumbai’s western suburbs. It serves a large number of economically weaker citizens who depend heavily on its services. In this context, the installation of an advanced biochemistry blood analyser will provide a major boost to public healthcare delivery.
The system will also improve laboratory efficiency and significantly reduce the turnaround time for test reports. With the help of modern technology, sample analysis will become more precise, thereby accelerating the treatment process.
The CSR-driven healthcare initiatives by Indian Oil Corporation Limited continue to strengthen public health institutions, enabling citizens to access more efficient and reliable medical services.
Team Maverick.
