Shri Ram Katha Mahotsav to Begin in Lucknow with Grand Kalash Yatra

Lucknow, June 2026 : The nine-day Shri Ram Katha Mahotsav by Padma Vibhushan awardee Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj will commence on June 1 at the Brij Ki Rasoi complex on Sitapur Road in Lucknow, with a grand Kalash Yatra marking the beginning of the spiritual event.

According to Dr. Neeraj Bora, MLA from Lucknow North and patron of the Shri Ram Katha Organising Committee, the Kalash Yatra will begin at 4 p.m. and will witness the participation of a large number of devotees, particularly women. The Shri Ram Katha will formally commence at 5 p.m. under the guidance of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj.

The religious discourse will continue for nine days and will be held daily from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Devotees from Lucknow and surrounding regions are expected to attend the event in large numbers to listen to the teachings and spiritual messages from the Ramayana.

Dr. Bora said all preparations for the Mahotsav have been completed. Special arrangements have been made to ensure the comfort and convenience of devotees attending the programme. The organisers have developed dedicated seating areas named Shri Ram Vatika, Janaki Vatika, Laxman Vatika, Bharat Vatika and Shatrughan Vatika at the venue to accommodate the expected gathering.

In addition, adequate facilities for drinking water, parking and other essential amenities have been put in place. The organising committee has also made extensive arrangements to manage the large influx of devotees expected during the nine-day event.

The Shri Ram Katha Mahotsav is expected to provide a unique opportunity for devotees to immerse themselves in spiritual discourse, devotional music and the teachings of Lord Ram. Organisers believe the event will help strengthen cultural and spiritual values while fostering a sense of community among participants.

Dr. Bora appealed to devotees and residents of Lucknow to participate in large numbers and seek spiritual blessings through the Katha. He expressed confidence that the event would become a memorable religious gathering and inspire devotees through the teachings of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj.

The Mahotsav is expected to draw thousands of devotees every day, making it one of the major religious events being organised in the city this year.
