Grand Saraswati Lok to be developed at Bhojshala: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal, June 2026 : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the State Government will develop a grand Saraswati Lok at the Bhojshala complex in Dhar and establish a Raja Bhoj Research Institute in the city. He noted that Bhojshala, established by Raja Bhoj, remained for centuries one of the most prominent centres of knowledge, science, research and Sanskrit learning. Students and scholars from distant regions visited the institution to acquire knowledge and engage in scholarly discourse.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the State Government will take all necessary steps to revive Bhojshala’s rich legacy as a renowned centre of learning and scholarship. He added that a Raja Bhoj Research Institute will also be established in Dhar, the land associated with Raja Bhoj’s illustrious works and legacy. The Chief Minister further announced that the State Government will provide financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each to the nearest family members of three martyrs of the Bhojshala movement—Late Shri Bansingh, Late Shri Antarsingh, and Late Shri Lakshman Singh.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed these views while addressing the Council of Ministers before the Cabinet meeting. Prior to the meeting, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput greeted the Chief Minister with a bouquet in recognition of the state’s record wheat procurement.

CM Congratulates PM Shri Modi on Completing 12 Years of Service to Nation

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi completed 12 years of dedicated service to the nation on May 26, 2026. He stated that under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s leadership, India has achieved new milestones in development, self-reliance, national security, cultural pride, digital transformation, and global leadership over the past 12 years. Guided by the spirit of Antyodaya, the benefits of government schemes have reached the last person in the queue. From the upliftment of the poor, youth, farmers and women under the GYAN mantra to decisive progress towards a Naxal-free and terror-free India, the nation has taken several historic steps. On behalf of the people of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Shri Modi.

Suggestions on Uniform Civil Code Can Be Submitted Until June 15

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated the initiative to create a dedicated website for inviting public suggestions on the Uniform Civil Code.  He said that a high-level committee is visiting districts across the state to receive views and suggestions from citizens, political parties and non-governmental organisations. The last date for submitting suggestions has been fixed as June 15, 2026. The Chief Minister directed ministers to widely publicise the committee, its activities and the website to ensure maximum public participation and suggestions.

Modern Skill Training Model Connecting Youth to Global Employment Opportunities

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the skill development ecosystem being created at the Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skill Park is now connecting young people with international employment opportunities. Three students from Batch-9 of the institute have been selected for employment in Hungary and have already begun their professional assignments there. During April and May 2026, a total of 236 students were placed in 16 companies. He said this achievement reflects the success of Madhya Pradesh’s modern skill development model and industry-oriented education system.

₹1,609 Cr Paid to Milk Producers During 2025–26

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has recorded an average daily milk procurement of 9.67 lakh kilograms. Milk unions have paid dairy farmers more than 15 per cent higher remuneration compared to the previous year. With guidance from the National Dairy Development Board, payments to milk producers increased from ₹1,398 crore in 2024–25 to ₹1,609 crore in 2025–26. A special mechanism has been adopted to ensure timely payments to dairy farmers. Procurement prices have also been increased by ₹2.50 to ₹8.50 per litre across various milk unions.

Record Wheat Procurement in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that despite challenging conditions in West and Central Asia, wheat procurement in Madhya Pradesh was completed successfully. The state procured a record 104.36 lakh metric tonnes of wheat during the procurement season. In addition to the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹2,585 per quintal, the State Government provided a bonus of ₹40 per quintal, taking the effective procurement price to ₹2,625 per quintal. This will provide farmers with an additional benefit of ₹417 crore over and above the MSP. Excluding the COVID period, this is the highest wheat procurement achieved in the state over the past decade. A total of 13.42 lakh farmers sold wheat at MSP, the highest number of wheat-selling farmers in the country. Madhya Pradesh ranked second in wheat procurement after Punjab. For the first time, small and marginal farmers were provided an opportunity to sell wheat under the procurement system. Procurement operations were conducted six days a week, including Saturdays, instead of the earlier five-day schedule. An amount of ₹25,096.99 crore has already been paid to farmers, while the remaining payments are under process.

Jal Ganga Conservation Campaign

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that the Jal Ganga Conservation Campaign is being implemented across the state from March 19 to June 30, 2026. Under the campaign, construction and restoration works of more than two lakh important water conservation structures worth ₹6 thousand 330 crore have been completed, while 1.51 lakh works are currently in progress. A record 57 thousand 794 farm ponds and 91,838 dug-well recharge structures have been constructed or restored. Additionally, 29,906 water conservation and recharge structures have been completed to preserve traditional and new water sources. Work on all 126 Amrit Sarovars in the state has been completed.

Sacred Relics of Lord Buddha’s Eminent Disciples Displayed in Mongolia

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that, on the special initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the sacred relics of Lord Buddha’s eminent disciples—Arahant, Sariputra and Mahamoggallayana—have been sent from the Sanchi Stupa to Mongolia for public viewing. The exhibition, which began on May 31, 2026, in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, is expected to attract over one million devotees, monks and tourists. He said that the exhibition will enhance global interest in India’s Buddhist tourism circuit, particularly heritage sites such as Sanchi.

Rajya Vyapari Kalyan Board to Promote Welfare and Trade Growth

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Rajya Vyapari Kalyan Board has been constituted in Madhya Pradesh. The Board will contribute to the welfare of the trading community, promote a conducive environment for international trade, and boost the state’s exports.
