Naidu Begins Singapore Visit to Boost Investments, Strengthen Amaravati Partnerships

Amaravati, June 2026 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday embarked on a two-day visit to Singapore aimed at attracting fresh investments, strengthening global partnerships, and reviewing collaborations related to the development of Amaravati and other key infrastructure projects in the state.

The Chief Minister departed from Bengaluru and is scheduled to arrive in Singapore on Sunday evening. According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Naidu’s packed itinerary on June 15 and 16 includes meetings with top political leaders, global investors, industry captains, and technology executives.

One of the highlights of the visit will be Naidu’s meeting with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Monday. The discussions are expected to focus on expanding bilateral cooperation in areas such as urban development, infrastructure, investment, and innovation.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister is also slated to meet several industrialists and business leaders to showcase investment opportunities in the state. His visit comes as the government intensifies efforts to position Andhra Pradesh as a preferred destination for global investments.

On Tuesday, Naidu will participate in the prestigious World Cities Summit, where he is expected to address global leaders and urban planners on sustainable city development and innovation-driven growth. He will also tour the World Cities Summit Exhibition, including the Singapore Pavilion, Innovators Alley, and Google Technologies exhibits.

As part of his engagement with the technology and startup ecosystem, the Chief Minister will attend a roundtable conference with startup venture capitalists and hold discussions with leading executives, including Karan Bajwa, President of Google Cloud Asia-Pacific, and Professor Tan Eng Chye, President of the National University of Singapore.

Naidu is also scheduled to meet India’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Shilpak Ambule, and participate in a luncheon meeting with Anacláudia Rossbach, Executive Director of UN-Habitat. Discussions with Singapore Senior Minister of State Low Yen Ling and Foreign Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan are also on the agenda.

In addition, the Chief Minister will hold meetings with key business figures such as Lim Siang Guan, Advisor to the Executive Committee of GIC, and Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, to explore opportunities in logistics, infrastructure, and investment.

The visit includes a roadshow organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), where Naidu will interact with industrialists and members of the CII Andhra Pradesh delegation. He is also expected to attend the APAC Semiconductor Roundtable and participate in the Surbana Jurong-Amaravati Planning Meeting, reflecting the state’s focus on technology and smart urban development.

Later, Naidu will hold discussions with a delegation led by Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong. He will also participate in meetings with Seatrium and attend the CII Partnership Summit 2026 Business Roadshow, a key component of Andhra Pradesh’s global investment outreach strategy.

The Chief Minister will inaugurate the CBN@361 programme organised by the Kakatiya Cultural Association during his visit.

Minister for Municipal Administration P. Narayana, Industries Department Secretary N. Yuvaraj, Municipal Administration Special Chief Secretary S. Suresh Kumar, AP Economic Development Board CEO M. Shanmohan, and officials of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) are accompanying the Chief Minister on the tour.

The visit is expected to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s long-standing ties with Singapore while paving the way for new investments and collaborations that support the state’s ambitious development agenda.
