Class 4 Student Interviews Chief Minister; CM Shares Inspiring Message on Digital Education During School Enrolment Festival
Raigad-Alibag, June 2026 : An inspiring and unique interaction took place in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during the School Enrolment Festival held at the PM SHRI Raigad Zilla Parishad Primary School in Vahal, Panvel. A Class 4 student from the school interviewed the Chief Minister, asking questions on education, social service, and changes in the digital era. The Chief Minister responded warmly to the young student’s confident questions, offering valuable guidance and motivation to all students present.
The event was attended by former MP Ramsheth Thakur, Principal Secretary of the School Education Department Ranjitsinh Deol, Legislative Council member Vikrant Patil, MLAs Mahesh Baldi and Prashant Thakur, Zilla Parishad President Mangesh Wakdikar, Education Committee Chairman Chandrakant Kalambe, School Education Commissioner Sachindra Pratap Singh, District Collector Kishan Jawale, and Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Neha Bhosale, among other dignitaries.
Speaking about his journey in public life, Chief Minister Fadnavis said that his social and political journey began during his student days while working with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), where he actively addressed issues concerning students. He remarked that struggle is inevitable while bringing about positive change in society, but consistent efforts towards good causes ultimately lead to success.
The Chief Minister urged students to draw inspiration from the lives and ideals of great leaders such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Responding to a question on education in the digital age, Fadnavis said that digital learning is the need of the hour and will serve as a key pillar of the future education system.
During the programme, the school’s Ideal Centre Lab was inaugurated and inspected. The Chief Minister stated that the digital lab would enable students to better understand subjects through audio-visual tools. It will also provide facilities such as interactive question-and-answer sessions, self-assessment modules, and online learning opportunities, thereby making education more effective and engaging.
As part of the School Enrolment Festival, newly admitted Class 1 students were welcomed with traditional rituals, presented with roses, and provided textbooks.
Interacting with the students, the Chief Minister encouraged them to make regular use of the digital lab to enhance their knowledge, skills, and confidence.
The opportunity to directly interact with and interview the Chief Minister created a special atmosphere of excitement among the students. The interview conducted by the young student and the inspirational message delivered during the interaction emerged as the highlight of the School Enrolment Festival.
