Jewar farmers arrive in Lucknow on first flight to thank CM Yogi, say their dream has come true

Lucknow, June 2026 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is reaching new heights of development. In this sequence, the first flight from Noida International Airport departed for Lucknow on Monday, creating an emotional and historic moment for several farmers. The most remarkable aspect of this flight was that it carried as passengers the very farmers who had given their land for the construction of the airport. As the farmers arrived at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, their faces reflected happiness, pride and deep emotion. They had travelled directly from their own village to the state capital by air.

Expressing their gratitude in one voice, the farmers thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that their long-cherished dream of travelling by airplane had finally come true. They described the experience as one of the most memorable moments of their lives.

Poonam, a resident of Jewar, said that her land had been acquired for the airport project. She stated that this was the first time she had the opportunity to travel by air. Thanking Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, she said that the government had enhanced the dignity of farmers. Poonam added that she had come to meet the Chief Minister and considered the occasion to be the happiest moment of her life.

Farmer Dharmveer Sharma said that a world-class international airport now stands in his village. He remarked that by seating farmers who wear simple slippers in an airplane, the government had demonstrated that its priority is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society.

Expressing special gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, he said that every promise made to the farmers had been fulfilled.

Hira Rashid, who was also part of the flight, appeared extremely excited. She said that travelling by air to Lucknow was like a dream come true for her. She credited this achievement to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and MLA Dhirendra Singh.

Farmer Haji Zafar praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that the government had accomplished something remarkable by enabling people who wear simple slippers to travel by airplane.

He explained that during the land acquisition process, consent had been sought from farmers by visiting every household, and the farmers had willingly and happily given their land. Haji Zafar said that he was proud of this development project.

Expressing gratitude towards the Chief Minister, he said that rapid development was taking place across the state and that it was transforming the lives of ordinary people. He further stated that Yogi Ji is quite popular among the Muslim community because he has ensured that the benefits of government schemes reach all sections of society without discrimination. He added that security has been provided to everyone.

Similarly, farmer Iqbal Kallu expressed his happiness and said that land belonging to him had been acquired for the airport, and today travelling from that very airport to the state capital was a matter of pride for him.

He said that the government had not only compensated farmers but had also made them partners in the journey of development.

Women farmers were equally enthusiastic. Farmer Suman said that she had travelled by airplane for the first time in her life. It was a dream she had nurtured for years, and it had finally been fulfilled.

Meenu also shared her emotions, saying that after the airport was built, she had seen her land from the sky for the first time. She said that the experience was beyond words.
Thanking Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, she added that a new stream of development was flowing across the state and that ordinary people were benefiting from it.

Elderly farmer Jaiveer said that he had witnessed many governments during his lifetime, but had never seen such a period of development before. He remarked that this initiative to honour farmers would always be remembered.

Jaikaran Singh said that the farmers were completely satisfied. He added that the construction of the airport would create new opportunities for future generations.
