Naidu Invites Singapore Investors to Join Andhra Pradesh’s Innovation Journey

Amaravati, June 2026 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday invited startup founders and venture capitalists in Singapore to partner with the state’s innovation ecosystem and become part of its ambitious growth story.

Naidu, who is on a two-day visit to Singapore aimed at attracting investments and strengthening international collaborations, addressed a Round Table meeting with startup founders and venture capitalists, showcasing Andhra Pradesh’s vision for entrepreneurship, innovation and global partnerships.

Highlighting the importance of venture capital in driving economic growth, the Chief Minister said investors play a crucial role in transforming ideas into scalable enterprises and supporting the industries of the future.

Taking to social media platform X, Naidu said: “Venture capital plays a critical role in transforming ideas into scalable enterprises, supporting innovation, risk-taking and the creation of future industries.”

He emphasised that Andhra Pradesh offers immense opportunities for innovation-led growth due to its enterprising population, progressive policies and business-friendly environment.

The Chief Minister pointed to initiatives such as “One Family One Entrepreneur” and the government’s commitment to ensuring “Speed of Doing Business” as key drivers of the state’s economic transformation.

Naidu also highlighted the establishment of institutions like the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, aimed at nurturing startups and promoting innovation in emerging sectors.

“I invited the community to partner with us, back breakthrough innovations and be part of Andhra Pradesh’s growth story,” he said.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister met India’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Dr Shilpak Ambule, to discuss ways to deepen cooperation between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh across multiple sectors.

According to Naidu, discussions focused on expanding partnerships in investment, technology, advanced manufacturing, robotics, medical devices, education and innovation.

The Chief Minister also highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s achievements in natural farming and its growing reputation as a hub for agricultural and horticultural exports.

He further showcased emerging opportunities in sectors such as aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and shipbuilding, which the state is keen to develop as future growth engines.

Naidu arrived in Singapore on Sunday evening and received a warm welcome from members of the Telugu community. Expressing gratitude, he thanked them for extending a grand reception to him and his delegation.

The Chief Minister’s visit is focused on attracting investments and reviewing collaborations related to the development of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh’s capital city, as well as other major infrastructure projects.

As part of his schedule, Naidu is set to meet Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and leading industrialists to explore avenues of cooperation. He will also participate in the World Cities Summit, where he is expected to present Andhra Pradesh’s urban development vision.

On Tuesday, the Chief Minister will attend a business roadshow organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and hold further interactions with investors and business leaders.

The visit is being viewed as a significant step in strengthening economic ties between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore while positioning the state as a preferred destination for global investment and innovation.
