NCC Cadets Impressed by SDRF Personnel

Special Techniques Taught to Assist Victims During the Golden Hour

Jaipur, June 2026: Eighty-nine NCC cadets visited the SDRF Battalion Headquarters at Gadota, Jaipur, on Tuesday as part of an educational tour. During the visit, the cadets were introduced to the functioning of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), its organizational structure, disaster management systems, and various rescue operations. Practical demonstrations of flood and rope rescue techniques were also conducted through dry demos, showcasing methods used during emergency situations.

SDRF Commandant Rajendra Singh Sisodia informed that the rescue team organized flood rescue and rope rescue dry demonstrations as part of a public awareness programme. The personnel explained how rescue operations are conducted safely during natural and man-made disasters and highlighted the specialized techniques used to save lives under challenging conditions.

Information on Disaster Prevention and First Aid

During the programme, the cadets were educated on preventive measures for different types of disasters. They were also informed about how ordinary citizens can safely assist injured and affected individuals before rescue teams arrive at the scene of an accident or disaster. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of primary response and community participation during emergencies.

Demonstration of Rescue Equipment

As part of the visit, the NCC cadets toured the SDRF premises and were shown modern rescue equipment. SDRF personnel provided detailed explanations about the functioning, utility, and application of each piece of equipment in different disaster scenarios, helping the cadets develop a practical understanding of disaster management.

Cadets Praise SDRF Personnel

At the conclusion of the programme, the NCC cadets described the flood and rope rescue demonstrations as highly useful and inspiring. They praised the efficiency, discipline, and dedication of the SDRF personnel and noted that such training programmes are extremely beneficial for young people.

The programme also emphasized the importance of the “Golden Hour”—the critical period immediately after an accident or disaster—during which timely assistance can significantly improve the chances of saving lives and reducing the severity of injuries.
