Raipur, June 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilisers J.P. Nadda at his residence in New Delhi on Thursday. During the courtesy meeting, the two leaders held detailed and meaningful discussions on a range of departmental and contemporary issues, including public healthcare, medical infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, fertilisers, and overall public welfare.
Chief Minister Sai informed the Union Minister that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously working towards expanding and strengthening healthcare services across the state. He said special emphasis is being placed on enhancing hospitals, medical colleges, and other healthcare institutions to ensure that quality medical facilities reach remote, rural, and tribal regions.
He added that the state government’s objective is to provide citizens with better treatment facilities and modern healthcare services within Chhattisgarh itself, thereby reducing the need for patients to travel outside the state for advanced medical care.
The meeting also focused on agriculture and fertiliser-related issues. Chief Minister Sai informed the Union Minister that the state government has issued clear directions to ensure the timely and adequate availability of fertilisers and quality seeds for farmers.
He said the government is making every effort to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience during the ongoing Kharif season and that the supply of essential agricultural inputs remains smooth and uninterrupted.
The Chief Minister further stated that officials have been instructed to closely monitor the fertiliser distribution system and take strict action against black marketing, hoarding, or any form of negligence. He emphasised that the state administration is committed to ensuring transparent and efficient distribution of agricultural inputs to farmers.
Sai also informed Nadda that the government has launched village-level awareness campaigns to connect farmers with modern agricultural practices and encourage them to adopt new technologies to improve productivity.
Highlighting another key initiative, the Chief Minister said the Chhattisgarh government is actively promoting the use of Nano Urea and Nano DAP among farmers. Extensive awareness campaigns are being conducted across the state to educate farmers about the benefits of these innovative fertilisers, which help increase crop productivity, reduce cultivation costs, and make farming more sustainable and profitable.
He reiterated that, with the full support of the Government of India, the Chhattisgarh government is making sustained efforts to accelerate development in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, and public welfare. He added that coordination between the Centre and the state is being further strengthened to ensure the state’s overall development.
Union Minister J.P. Nadda appreciated the Chhattisgarh government’s initiatives to expand healthcare services, safeguard farmers’ interests, and implement various public welfare programmes. He assured Chief Minister Sai of the Central government’s full support in strengthening healthcare infrastructure and promoting development across other key sectors in the state.
