Neither BJP’s jails, fear, nor repression will break farmers of Gujarat, nor AAP: Arvind Kejriwal
This fight is for dignity of Gujarat’s farmers, for dignity of Gujarat itself, and we will see it through to victory: Arvind Kejriwal
NEW DELHI / GUJARAT, Feb 2026 : The BJP’s Gujarat government’s attempt to stifle the farmers’ movement suffered a clear setback on Saturday as a court granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) farmer leader Rajubhai Karpada, Pravin Ram, Rameshbhai Mer, and other activists. On this development, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal declared that the “oppression and conspiracy” by the BJP government to silence farmers had been laid bare before the judiciary.
Calling the court’s order a reaffirmation of truth, the AAP Chief said neither jails, fear, nor repression would break the farmers of Gujarat or the AAP, asserting that the struggle is ultimately for the dignity of Gujarat’s farmers and the honour of Gujarat itself.
Welcoming court’s decision, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to ‘X’ and wrote: “Satyamev Jayate. The oppression and conspiracy that the BJP government in Gujarat resorted to in an attempt to silence the voice of farmers have today been exposed in court. The granting of bail to Rajubhai Karpada, Pravin Ram, and all those who stood as the voice of Gujarat’s farmers is a victory of truth.
The AAP Chief further wrote: “Neither the BJP’s jails, fear, nor repression will bend the farmers of Gujarat, nor the Aam Aadmi Party. This fight is for the dignity of Gujarat’s farmers, for the dignity of Gujarat itself, and we will win it.”
Meanwhile, AAP Gujarat Prabhari Gopal Rai stated: “In Gujarat, the Aam Aadmi Party’s farmer leader Rajubhai Karpada, who has been continuously fighting for the rights and interests of farmers, along with state front organization president Pravin Ram, AAP leader Ramesh bhai Mer, and all the revolutionaries, have been granted bail. ‘Truth may be troubled, but it cannot be defeated’. Satyameva Jayate.”
AAP Gujarat State President Isudan Gadhvi stated on X: “Satyamev Jayate. The bail for Aam Aadmi Party’s farmer leader Rajubhai Karpaḍa, Pravinbhai Ram, Ramesh bhai Mer, along with all the revolutionary comrades who went to jail fighting strongly against the injustice being done to the farmers of Gujarat, has been approved today. BJP made many attempts so that the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party would not get bail, but in the end, truth has triumphed.”
