Rajasthan Housing Board Approves Development-Oriented Decisions; Atal Poetry Memorial and Atal Democracy Garden to Come Up at Mansarovar City Park

Jaipur, February 3: The 254th Board Meeting of the Rajasthan Housing Board was held on Tuesday at the Board headquarters, during which several important public welfare and development-oriented proposals were approved. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Debashish Prusti, Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, and Chairman of the Board.

In line with the announcement made by Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, administrative and financial approval was granted for preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and appointing an architect for the development of the Atal Kavya Smarak (Atal Poetry Memorial) and Atal Loktantra Upvan (Atal Democracy Garden) at City Park, Mansarovar in Jaipur.

The Board also agreed to provide 2,500 square metres of land in IG Nagar Sector 34–35 for a Board-run Juvenile Observation Home. The proposal will be forwarded to the State Government for further approval.

The Chairman informed that, under the guidance of Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Jhabar Singh Kharra, district-wise camps will soon be organised for layout plan modifications and land-use changes. A dedicated online portal will also be developed to facilitate these services.

The positive response received for Wednesday auctions, premium properties, and housing schemes was described as a sign of growing public trust. The application deadline for housing schemes in Hanumangarh and Bhiwadi has been extended till February 28, while new schemes will soon be launched in Jaipur, Jaisalmer, and other cities.

Administrative and financial approvals were also granted for land demarcation, drone surveys, disposal of pending properties through RFSDL, and development works under various housing schemes.

Housing Commissioner Dr Rashmi Sharma directed officials to ensure speedy implementation of decisions and instructed measures such as demarcation, signage, and fencing to safeguard Board properties.

Board Secretary Shri Gopal Singh, Deputy Secretary Dr Ashok Kumar, Chief Engineer Shri Amit Agrawal, Shri T.S. Meena, Financial Advisor Shri K.C. Kumawat, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
