Lucknow, February 2026 : Whether it is the insistence of a little girl who approached Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seeking admission to a nursery school, or children playfully demanding chocolates, youngsters often meet the Chief Minister with remarkable ease and confidence. The same Chief Minister whose name strikes fear in criminals listens patiently as children innocently put forward their wishes. It is often said that children are pure at heart, expressing their feelings without pretence. This innocence was evident when a small girl saluted CM Yogi the moment she saw him. Smiling warmly, the Chief Minister encouraged her to study diligently. Such affection towards children reflects his gentle heart, approachability and offers a vivid picture of public service, compassion and good governance.
Scenes of the Chief Minister’s emotional connection and heartfelt conversations with children frequently come to light. His interaction with young Anabi Ali, who visited ‘Janata Darshan’ with her mother last Monday, has been widely discussed. Determined to secure her school admission, Anabi recited the alphabet and a poem, winning the Chief Minister’s heart. Similarly, on Makar Sankranti at the Gorakhnath Temple, CM Yogi’s joyful laughter after hearing a child’s innocent reply to his question, “What else do you want?”, highlighted his affection for children. His warm engagement and swift decisions regarding their future underline his sensitivity.
Another touching moment occurred during ‘Janata Darshan’ when CM Yogi interacted with two-year-old Ananya. On December 31, Major’s daughter Anjana Bhatt met the Chief Minister to complain about the illegal कब्जा of her house. Within 24 hours, the property was freed, an FIR was lodged and the accused were arrested, demonstrating the Chief Minister’s seriousness in addressing issues related to children, women and vulnerable sections without delay.
The story of Khushi Gupta, a hearing- and speech-impaired young woman from Kanpur, has also touched many hearts. When CM Yogi learned that she had walked alone to Lucknow to meet him, he invited her, accepted her paintings and assured her a safe and educated future. Her emotional response reflected the Chief Minister’s belief that the entire state is one family.
Through ‘Janata Darshan’, CM Yogi ensured school admissions for Anabi Ali from Lucknow, Mayra from Kanpur, Pankhuri from Gorakhpur and Vachi from Moradabad. When Mayra said she wanted to become a doctor, the Chief Minister immediately ordered her admission. He ensured Vachi’s schooling and waived Pankhuri’s fees, enabling her return to school.
During the Republic Day parade on January 26, children eagerly approached CM Yogi, clicked photographs with him and chatted freely. He affectionately embraced them, even lifting a little girl in his arms, expressing his fatherly affection.
In September, an elderly mother from Raipurwa, Kanpur, approached ‘Janata Darshan’ with the pain of her cancer-stricken son. Deeply moved, the Chief Minister immediately arranged for the son’s transfer by ambulance to Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, ensuring his treatment. Numerous such instances vividly portray Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s child-friendly approach, compassion, public service and commitment to good governance.
