Medical Conference ‘PULSE’ to be Held in Mumbai on March 27 and 28

Create a ‘Maharashtra Brand’ in Medical Wellness Tourism through the ‘PULSE’ Conference: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, Feb 2026 : The ‘PULSE’ medical conference, which aims to give Maharashtra a distinct global identity in the medical sector, will be held at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai on March 27 and 28, 2026. More than 2,900 experts, researchers and distinguished delegates from India and across the world are expected to participate in the conference.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, while reviewing the preparations for the conference at his official residence Varsha, directed that the event should be organised on a grand scale and leveraged to create a strong ‘Maharashtra Brand’ in medical wellness tourism by promoting wellness-based treatments. Minister of State for Medical Education Madhuri Misal was present during the meeting.

With citizens increasingly shifting from traditional, expensive medical treatments towards wellness-oriented therapies, the Chief Minister noted that Maharashtra has vast potential in this segment. He instructed that treatment systems under AYUSH should be aligned more closely with the wellness approach to tap this growing demand.

CM Fadnavis further stated that several start-ups are active in the medical sector and should be encouraged to participate in large numbers at the conference. He said this would help start-ups contribute to discussions based on innovative research and assist in developing simple, affordable and accessible treatment solutions, including for serious diseases such as cancer. He also stressed the need to ensure participation of global investors in the medical field so that investment can be attracted to the State’s Bulk Drug Park. To ensure the successful organisation of the conference, he directed concerned departments to appoint nodal officers and work in close coordination so that Maharashtra derives maximum benefit from the event.

Minister of State for Medical Education Madhuri Misal said agreements should be signed with medical investors during the conference to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in rural areas. Such initiatives would help create quality health facilities in rural regions. She also emphasised using the conference as an opportunity to promote innovative treatments for mental health disorders and to further develop medical tourism.

The review meeting was attended by MMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, Principal Secretary (Tourism) Sanjay Khandare, Principal Secretary and Director General of Information and Public Relations Brijesh Singh, Medical Education Commissioner Anil Bhandari, Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Sridhar Dubey, Chief of Protocol Rajesh Gavande, Chief Minister’s Advisor Pooja Misal, and other senior officials.
