Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Engages in Heartfelt Conversation with Beloved Sisters

Sisters Express Gratitude as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Receive Rakhi

Satara : “Have the ₹3,000 under the ‘Mukhya Mantri Ladki Bahan’ scheme been credited to your accounts? Remember, you don’t have to pay any middleman for this; these funds are your rightful due. You now have brothers you can count on, and we have been blessed with sisters we cherish,” said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, as he engaged in a heartfelt conversation with his beloved sisters.

The ‘Mukhya Mantri Mazi Ladki Bahan’ Beneficiary Honor Ceremony was organized at the grounds of Sainik School in Satara as part of the Chief Minister’s Women Empowerment Campaign. During the event, Chief Minister Shinde interacted warmly with the women in attendance.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Minister for State Excise and Guardian Minister Shambhuraj Desai, Minister for Women and Child Development Aditi Tatkare, Annasaheb Patil Economic Development Corporation Chairman Narendra Patil, Krishna Khore Development Corporation Vice Chairman Mahesh Shinde, and MLAs including Shri. Shrimant Chhatrapati Shivendrasinhraje Bhosale, Makarand Patil, Jaykumar Gore, and Deepak Chavan, among others, were present at the event.

A grand pavilion was set up for the ceremony, and from the morning onwards, women from various parts of the district began arriving at the Sainik School grounds for the event scheduled to begin at 12 noon. Addressing a gathering of nearly 50,000 sisters, Chief Minister Shinde asked, “Have the funds under the ‘Mukhya Mantri Mazi Ladki Bahan’ scheme been credited to your accounts? How do you plan to use this money?” This led to an enthusiastic and spontaneous interaction with the crowd.

In response, many women expressed their gratitude, sharing that they planned to purchase sewing machines or use the money for their children’s education, hoping to ensure a better future for them. As a gesture of love, the beloved sisters tied rakhis to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, offering blessings and best wishes for their future endeavors.

One of the sisters emotionally shared how, due to the scheme, accounts were opened for millions of women who had never had bank accounts before, and funds were directly credited to these accounts. She saluted the Chief Minister for this initiative. The event saw a touching moment when the 50,000 women present greeted the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister with a sea of mobile phone torches, a gesture that was warmly reciprocated by both leaders. Upon arrival, the women welcomed their beloved leaders with a shower of flowers. At the end of the event, as the women prepared to return home, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes, urging them to travel safely and celebrate the Rakhi Purnima festival with their families in joy and enthusiasm.
