The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that Jaishankar’s visit would allow for a review of various aspects of the bilateral relationship, including political, trade, investment, energy, security, and cultural ties. Discussions will also cover regional and international issues of mutual interest.
This visit follows a tragic fire in Kuwait’s Mangaf area in June, which resulted in the deaths of 45 Indians from several states, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and others. The visit is expected to address and strengthen cooperation on such consular matters as well.
