Rajasthan Youth Shine at India Skills Regionals, 17 Qualify for National Stage

Jaipur, February 2026 : Rajasthan’s young talent has made a strong mark at the India Skills Regional Competition, with 17 participants qualifying for the prestigious India Skills National Competition. The achievement is being celebrated by the state’s nodal agency for skill development, the Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation (RSLDC).

RSLDC Managing Director Rishav Mandal said that the corporation will provide the best possible advanced training to the 17 selected candidates who will represent Rajasthan at the national level. He described the success as a significant milestone for the state’s skill development ecosystem, highlighting the growing strength and impact of Rajasthan’s vocational training initiatives.

The journey to the national stage began with a massive screening process involving nearly 5,000 participants. At the state-level finals held in January 2026, 536 candidates competed across various skill categories. From this highly competitive pool, 63 top performers were selected to represent Rajasthan at the regional level.

At the regional competition, Rajasthan’s contingent delivered an outstanding performance, winning a remarkable haul of medals. The team secured nine gold medals (each carrying a cash prize of ₹75,000), eight silver medals (₹50,000 each), and ten bronze medals (₹25,000 each). In addition, participants earned eight Medallions of Excellence, reflecting high standards of performance across multiple skill domains.

Through their technical expertise, discipline, and competitive spirit, Rajasthan’s youth stood out among peers from other states. From this distinguished group of performers, 17 exceptional candidates have now been selected to advance to the India Skills National Competition, where they will compete against the best young professionals from across the country.

Officials said the achievement not only brings pride to the state but also reinforces Rajasthan’s commitment to nurturing industry-relevant skills and creating meaningful livelihood opportunities for its youth.
