Take strictest action against those who evict the underprivileged: Yogi tells officers

Gorakhpur : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officers to take strict legal action against those who attempt to displace the underprivileged. He stressed the importance of safeguarding the land rights of the poor, noting that those still awaiting their pucca houses should be provided accommodation under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or the Chief Minister Awas Yojana.

CM Yogi issued these directives on Tuesday during a Janata Darshan held in the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan auditorium at Gorakhnath Temple complex. CM Yogi addressed the grievances of around 300 people at the Janata Darshan.

The Chief Minister interacted with the attendees, receiving their petitions, and attentively listening to their concerns. After hearing each case, he promptly provided instructions to the concerned officers to ensure a timely, fair, and satisfactory resolution.

The Chief Minister’s strong assurance that effective action would be taken to resolve all issues without exception instilled confidence in the public.

In response to land-grabbing complaints, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued firm instructions to officials and said, “Those who illegally seize land and displace the vulnerable must face the strictest legal action without exception.” He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring justice for all and fostering prosperity.

The Chief Minister called for decisive action in revenue and law enforcement matters, stressing that public welfare must always be a top priority and that every grievance should be resolved promptly.

As in previous instances, many people attended the Janata Darshan, seeking financial assistance to treat serious illnesses. CM Yogi Adityanath assured them that no one’s medical care would be halted due to a lack of funds.

He directed officials to expedite estimation of the required funds for the advanced treatment of the applicants and submit it to the government promptly so that it could be released at the earliest. The Chief Minister reaffirmed that protecting public health is a top priority for the government.
