Global Leaders Rally Behind US After Trump Authorises ‘Operation Epic Fury’ Against Iran

Washington, March 2026 : Several world leaders have voiced strong support for the United States after President Donald Trump authorised what the White House described as “Operation Epic Fury,” a military campaign aimed at eliminating an “imminent nuclear threat” posed by Iran. According to US officials, the operation is designed to dismantle Iran’s nuclear ambitions along with its missile systems, naval assets, and regional proxy networks, which Washington says have destabilised the Middle East for decades.

In statements released by the White House, key US allies framed the operation as a necessary and preventive step to curb nuclear proliferation and restore regional security. Leaders from Australia, Canada, Israel, Europe, and beyond echoed Washington’s position that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese strongly endorsed the US objective, saying Iran’s conduct has long undermined stability in the region. He pointed to Tehran’s ballistic missile and nuclear programmes, its backing of armed proxy groups, and what he described as a pattern of violence and intimidation. Albanese said Australia supports decisive US action to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and from continuing to threaten international peace and security.

Canada also reaffirmed its alignment with Washington. Prime Minister Mark Carney described Iran as the principal source of instability and terror in the Middle East, highlighting its human rights record and regional activities. He said Canada’s position remains unchanged: Iran must never be allowed to develop or possess nuclear weapons, and Ottawa supports US efforts to prevent further threats to global security.

Israel, a long-standing critic of Iran’s nuclear programme, welcomed the move. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly thanked President Trump, praising what he called historic leadership at a critical moment. Israeli officials have repeatedly warned that Iran’s nuclear ambitions pose an existential threat, and Netanyahu’s remarks underscored Israel’s strong backing of the US action.

In Europe, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama called for uncompromising action against Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which he labelled a terrorist organisation. Rama said decisive steps were overdue and argued that preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear or advanced military capabilities was essential for the safety of Israel and other peace-loving nations in the Middle East. He stressed that terrorism must be clearly named and firmly stopped.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky linked the US operation to broader global deterrence, saying decisive American action weakens criminal regimes worldwide. His remarks reflected Kyiv’s view that strong US leadership sends a message beyond the Middle East, reinforcing international norms against aggression and proliferation.

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani described the moment as pivotal for the Iranian people, suggesting that US leadership could open the door to freedom and change. Her statement framed the operation not only as a security measure but also as a potential turning point for Iran’s future.

In the United Kingdom, Member of Parliament Nigel Farage urged the British government to align more closely with Washington. He called on London to reconsider restrictions on the use of British military bases and to openly back the United States in what he described as a vital confrontation with Iran.

Taken together, the statements reveal a coordinated narrative among US allies and partners, portraying Operation Epic Fury as a preventive strike intended to stop nuclear escalation and curb Iran’s influence across the region. Supporters argue that decisive action now could avert a far greater conflict later, while reinforcing global efforts to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and restore stability in the Middle East.
